Yeah I am pretty sure she did stay the night with Tony that night, and the next day that is when he stayed home from school and they stayed in bed all day... if I'm not getting my days mixed.

I'd like to find out that answer, too. Especially since Jose Baez (I almost typed Joan Baez lol) said there was only touching and oral molestation going on. I never heard him say anything about intercourse.

I remember back in the early days of this case a huge stink was going on in every website that devoted time to this case about who Caylees dad was once it became clear that her dad wasn't the guy who died in the car accident.

People started saying that the name Caylee was a mix of both CA(Y)..sey and LEE so therefor Lee had to be her dad

I think it was done basically to quell the rumors that OCSO was being inundated with so it could be put to rest so they could get on with what really needed to be investigated

That was my impression.

I'm also now under the impression that Jose will spin it to his advantage for his defense strategy.

And if he knew his client was a liar, what was he going to do. Trust her when she said, "Noooo, that's IMPOSSIBLE!"

In fact, even now--people bring it up and it has to be constantly pointed out that tests were already done. I don't blame them for asking, but people new to the case are still asking.

Would have been a slam dunk for reasonable doubt if either were positive for being Caylee's dad.

Yep, your coworker is right. George was a homicide detective when the Anthony family lived in Ohio.

Let's suppose she gets convicted. And let's suppose she appeals.

Can her new defense atty come up with an entirely different story about what happened? Like say she starts to lie about aliens taking Caylee.

Or is she forever now stuck with using this story of George molesting her as a child & Caylee drowing & George taking her body, and the meter reader moving the body from where ever it was & holding it for months?

Well, because we know she's never going to just tell the truth about what happened.

Just curious.

Well, here is Florida an appeal is automatic but no, its not a new trial. An appeal , from what I understand, just tries to show that something wasn't done correctly during the trial or Casey didn't get a fair trial. If she wins an appeal, its not an acquittal, she gets a new trial.

Yes, he was a cop which makes it even more far-fetched for me to believe this whole "cover up an accidental drowning" story. Accidental drownings are not considered gross negligence in Florida. This is what Judge Eaton said:

The leading case involving the accidental drowning of a toddler in a swimming pool was decided by the Court of Criminal Appeals of Tennessee in 1990. In that case, the court ruled that momentary inattention by a parent resulting in an accidental drowning is simple negligence and not gross negligence as is required for manslaughter. I presided over such a case several years ago and entered a judgment of acquittal at the end of the state’s case. It seems as though a child drowns almost every week in Florida. These tragic deaths could be prevented by restricting the access young children have to pool areas and by better parental supervision. -- Judge O.H. Eaton

And yet the defence wants us to believe that george wrapped caylee in duct tape..disposed of her body. THEN KEPT THAT SAME DUCT TAPE IN HIS GARAGE!!!!!!
