I am getting a Verizon Iphone 4. I need a good case such as the Otterbox. I have not been able to find one that says it is for the Verizon Iphone 4.
Has anyone found a good case for a reasonable price?
Thanks

I would get an otterbox. I have it and love it! I bought mine off eBay.

Otterbox has a case for iPhone 4. They are not cheap, but WELL worth it. You will be glad you spent a little more when you drop it! I love my Otterbox!

Is the Verizon iPhone any different from the AT&T one? The one they show in commercials looks just like mine (at&t) and I have an otterbox on mine. I bought it at Walmart for $39.99 - it is the Defender and has the built in screen protector. I really like the case (although to me the outer plastic shell could snap on more tightly) and my iPhone looks brand new when you take it out of the case.

Someone posted the other day that they read that the Verizon iphones were a tiny bit different than the AT&T iPhones. Not sure if that's true or not but I think they read it on a tech blog somewhere. So you might want to check that out before purchasing any case to make sure you get one that fits your phone.

I bought one from the Verizon Wireless website called "Survivor" - hard case, softer outer shock case, and removable belt clip/stand. The box says it was designed to meet military sepcifications :lmao: which means I might have gone overboard....

Do a search! It does look VERY protective!

I had also read somewhere that the phones may be the tiniest bit different, rendering cases unusable. So I went to the Apple store yesterday while I was at the mall for something else. The guy there said the phones were identical on the outside for case purposes. I want to get a cute Disney case if I can find a hardshell one I like.

They are different. The buttons had to be moved slightly on the side in order to fit the different chip inside. Do a google search and you will find a better description of why. There are also articles talking about the problems getting cases for a while for the Verizon iphone. From what I can tell the Apple Store only sells cases that fit both. But if you were going to buy an Otterbox for example you would have to make sure you bought the right kind for your iphone.

Have you searched on Amazon.com for one? They are the cheapest if they have one for that phone.

Where can you buy these otterbox ones? Will Best Buy carry them? We are Verizon customers and my 17 year old held off getting his upgrade in early Jan. because he knew this was coming out. LOL SO we ordered it on Thursday. He is very happy. :goodvibes

I'm probably one of the few people that does not like the Otterbox. I think they are too bulky. I have an AT&T iPhone 4, and I highly doubt they are much different (if at all) from the new Verizon iPhone 4.

I first bought a case from a kiosk in the mall, which broke after about 3 weeks. I exchanged it for a new one and then that one broke after about 2 months. So, I ended up buying an Incase at Best Buy yesterday. I was told that next to the Otterbox, Incase was the best option (plus they are a little cheaper).

There are 17 different cases at my local Verizon store. Some are simple silicon in a variety of colors to the rugged Survivor case.

I picked up an iPhone 4 case at Disneyland yesterday and it fits my Verizon iPhone perfectly. Toy Story hard case and screen protector with the little green alien toys all over it. Cute.

I would love to see this case!!! I will be heading to Disney World in June -
do they sell them there? And are there different ones?

I bought AT&T otterbox defender cases for our new verizon iphones, even though everything online says it won't fit, including otterbox, it fits just fine. the mute switch is not perfectly centered but is not being blocked at all by the case and I wouldn't think twice about buying the at&t version again.

I was prepared to mod if needed (i have a dremel and i'm not afraid to use it!) but no worries :) if you want an otterbox for the verizon phone, go ahead and get the at&t one, it's available now and probably will be cheaper than the verizon ones will be. I bought 4 on amazon from $20 and up, depending on the color.

I'll be ordering my iPhone in the next few weeks...I did call otterbox because I read a previous post saying that the buttons are different. They confirmed that and told me if you use the AT&T version of the case it will fit but you will not be able to use the mute button.

For cases & chargers I like www.accessorystuff.com

I used to buy all of my accessories at either the verizon store or bestbuy. It's amazing how much you can save if you shop around.
