Case of the disappearing trippies!!

I tried posting my trip report for Day 8 early on Tuesday afternoon and it mysteriously vanished into cyberspace without trace! I typed it up a second time just after midnight and tried to post it again, having stopped about halfway throught the report, intending to finish it in the morning, So what happens? I click on 'Post New Thread', I get a 'duplicate of a post you have made in the last 5 minutes' message and my screen returns to the main trip report page. Of course, there's no sign of either my first or second attempts to post my report. I am seriously disillusioned right now, 5 hours work seems to have been for nothing. Unless it mysteriously reappears in the morning, I doubt I'll have the inclination to carry on any further with these reports if this is what's going to happen to them. I'm going away now to find something to punch . . . . HARD!!

ps; how come I don't get p***ed about like that when I put on a normal post, like this one?????

I had exactly the same thing happen to me last night when I was trying to post a new thread but that was only a short one. You must be SOOOOOOOO mad after all that work. Please try again. (BTW I've started holding anything that I don't want to lose in "copy" just until I see if it's going to work or not - from bitter experience!!!). I really hope they get the glitches on this board sorted out before too much longer.

Are you typing it in to word and then copy and pasting it?

Think I'll give it a go next time, whenever that is!! Thanks for the advice guys, however DW did suggest it when I started the reports but for whatever reason I chose to ignore her! Looks like the way to go, huh??
