Carthay with WOC package or without?

We are visiting 12/1-12/4 and I'm so excited! Even though I have been to Disneyland many times I've never eaten at Blue Bayou or, even though it's "newer", Carthay Circle. We are celebrating both of our December bdays that weekend and so we decided to treat ourselves to both! I've already made lunch reservations for BB and can't wait.

I really want to experience Carthay for dinner. I'm wondering if anyone can speak to the experience of going in and ordering off the full menu, paired with a WOC fastpass obtained earlier in the day vs. going with the WOC Dinner plan where you pick off a prix-fix menu. Thanks!

We just went and they asked us which we wanted and I was afraid to do the fastpass because I wanted the regular menu. Truth is that I have no idea what's on the WOC dinner menu and they do change up their regular menu pretty regularly. Hopefully someone who has gone recently can share. I think someone who has been since the first of OCtober will have the current menu based on what they told us when we were there. Anything before that and you may get an out of date menu.

We just did the woc package and the food was amazing!!! I think it mostly depends on if seeing the show is important to you. If it is and your eating there anyway then I'd do the package.

I do the lunch at least once every trip and have never been disappointed. Absolutely delightful and amazing value (IMO). I'm not ashamed to say I have it booked 4 times in a 10 day stay in November ;)

I prefer lunch to dinner because I find I don't usually need a full dinner later and just have a snack at some point. But to each their own :)

We did lunch. We also upgraded the starter to the eggplant and I highly recommend it. It was amazing!!!!! We also did the tri tip and it came with risotto. Cost wise to me the lunch was better.

Oh and our "seats" for world of color were absolutely amazing as well. We got there about 45 min before the show and no one really knew where to direct us. They told us one section so we went there and when they went to take our fast pass they said carthey circle section was in another area but we could stay there if we wanted to. So we opted to stay there and got water front "seats." I believe the carthey circle section is higher up though.

Thanks everyone! I think you've all made me sway more to lunch, too. It's definitely the most important re-fueling meal of the Disney day ;)
