Hi everyone! I'm new the forum but not to Disneyland at all, I average 2/3 trips a year as I'm only a 5 hour drive from DL.

Here are my thoughts on Carsland....

We walked in and started wandering, my Husband asked if we were in Carsland and I said yes, we really couldn't tell we had walked into it until seeing a couple small thing like the store names. We then walked around and noticed a huge line of very very upset people. I guess people had been waiting in for hours and the ride had broken down again, for the 3rd time, this time they shut it down completely. My Dh, kids and myself just walked around, didn't think the rides were worth the wait. My DS loves car but didn't seem intrested in it, they just didn't have alot of "Car" details it seems. We took some pictures with Mater which he liked. I will say the Radiator springs mountain range they built was super awesome. I'm sure in a year when it calms down I will enjoy it a little more then I did this week. I just wasn't that impressed by it...:confused3

It's way more impressive at night! So beautiful. We lucked out and got a FP for Thursday and our return time was 2:45 but the ride was broken down so they told us to come back anytime and I waited til the evening and we only waited 20 minutes to ride RSR. I think it's so much better at night!!

FYI ... at the DLR you can always come back and use your FP late at night, even if the ride doesn't break down.

So somebody who has a total of six posts on this board posts a review of questionable veracity... OK, whatever.

Say what you will about the rides, the wait times, the prices for drinks in the cones, etc. But no one, and I mean NO ONE has denied the total feeling of immerson into the world of the Cars movies once entering the area. I mean, seriously, I can't think of any other Disney experience worldwide that has such a total feeling of immersion and complete theming. Anyone who says they entered Cars Land and didn't feel like they had stepped into the world of the Cars movies has lost all credibility to me...

Everyone's entitled to their opinions. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more when things calm down! As for entering Carsland, I personally think the best way is through the Pacific Warf area, so the first thing you see is the archway and rock formations. It's an amazing sight!

We just went this weekend. Our first was when we walked by the main Cars Land entrance. We were very impressed with the environment and we could tell we would be in for a shock when we finally commited to seeing the land (was busy getting to a different ride). Our first time walking through was through the wharf. I told my group that someone on this forum said the best view was through there and that was 110% true. It was incredible. We couldn't believe the scenery. Our awe continued as we walked to the main intersection. It was probably the most immersive land in parks.

In order to get on RSR, we got in line at 7am for general admission. Eventually one of the EMH gates turned to normal entrance and I was one of the first to notice, so we got to the front of the line which led to the front of the rope walk into Cars Land. RSR was already down but we waited anyway. We got on the ride by 10am. Glad I got on it, but wasn't that impressed with the ride. But the Land was incredible.

And lastly, the neon at night is also great as stated in older posts.
