cars with cheapest insurance rates

Going to get DD another car. She wants a grand am. I am wanting a car with cheapest insurance. Anyone have any idea of a web site that would list cars by cheapest rates? I know I can call the insurance agent, but he's not there tonight

Some web sites, like Allstate, will give you a free quote if you give them some info about yourself, daughter, and the car!

Also, honor role at school, side air bags, passenger side airbag (if a older car, as all new ones do now), low theft rate, low repair cost from accidents, theft deterrent, same company as your other property coverages, like homeowners.

hahaha just kidding....

Stay away from Red cars too! (They're supposedly linked to more accidents.....Silver is supposedly a "safer" car because the color reflects light making them easier to see...although Bright Green isn't exactly invisible! haha) While these things probably won't effect your insurance, it's always best to be a little safer.

Like Dan said, a lot of things effect the cost of insurance--different features on cars can effect how much you pay.
Also, I don't think this was mentioned, but many states offer Defensive Driving Classes-it's a one-day 6 hour course, and it can lower the drivers insurance by up to 15%!!!
