carryon help

can my son carryon his backpack and a camcorder bag??

Or

can i carryon my laptop and the camcorder bag?

I have read a lot about woman bringing a purse and a laptop being ok, but what about men and the items above?

If those are your only carry on's, yes. If you are also bringing a roll on or other carry on, no.

Each ticketed passenger is allowed one carry on and one "Personal item". Personal items generally include laptop bags, camera bags, purses, small backpacks, etc.

I always have my roll on carry and small bag that fits under the seat. I put my purse in it before I board and if I need something it's right there.

My husband carries his C-PAP machine as his 'personal item', and then still carries on a small suitcase. Likewise, our kids all carry their school backpacks as their 'personal item' and then their small suitcase. Never had any issues.

Medical devices are allowed as an addition to your two carry ons. However, that does not mean the airline has room for it all....

I do the same as tkldisney.......carry a purse small enough to fit inside my tote bag or sometimes I won't even carry the purse, but, put my wallet, etc. right in the zippered compartment of the tote and put the empty purse (which for vacation is usually a very casual canvas small backback type) right in my luggage and then transfer what I need after we arrive. I have all of our travel documents (boarding passes, car ressies, DVC ressies, any ADR's, etc.)in a small file folder (the kind with three hole clips) with each type of document in its own plastic report cover. I also have a small (approx 5 X 8) zippered pencil case with three holes that fits in the file and I put all ticket media in that, in addtion to our DDE card, Emerald Club card, etc. It works out great because everything we need for the trip is in that one file and its small enough and flexible enough to go right in the safe after we check in.I take the zippered pouch out and transfer it to my canvas backpack purse so we've got all of our tickets, etc. with us all the time. I also make a copy of all of our tickets (front and back) and give it to DH to put in his briefcase just in case the originals are ever lost.
