How do we lug around water bottles and other necessities without renting a locker? I would like to carry a backpack with such stuff but what do we do with it while we ride?

Thanks

WDW is just about the only place that I wear one, but it makes the most sense to me. Mine has a spot to hold water bottles [my Brita]. I don't do the really wild rides so I don't have to worry about anything too drastic. It keeps my hands free for photography. :thumbsup2

I looked everywhere last spring for water bottle pouches with long straps to wear over our shoulders that would fit our brita bottles. Took a long time, but finally found them at Walgreens. Just slung them over mine and dd's shoulders and had it when we needed it without a problem. We did only fill dd's 1/2 way at a time though. DH has a bottle pouch on his fanny pack.

I have heard that the bottle pouch on the bagalinni (spelling??) messenger bag fits a brita bottle!

I bring a backpack. I go on all the thrill rides and while I normally leave it with DH who doesn't ride when I am on my own I just stick one foot through the strap before I sit down on the few rides without a pouch to fit a backpack. I have never had it bother me on any of them.

Most of the rides I just place it on the seat beside us(they are bench seats).

I saw the bottle carriers with the strap at Walmart near ladies accessories (umbrellas etc). I got a fannie pack that came with 2 water bottles and pouches to put them in. I really bought it because the fanny pack looks big enough to fit a couple diapers in. It was in the sporting good section of Walmart.

DW carries our Camelpac ladies backpack. It holds our water and all park essentials

we bought bottle holders at WDW. They are caribiner (sp?) style with a rubber Mickey head that fits around the neck of the bottle. You can clip it to your belt loop (or in my case I clipped it to the side of the small bag I was carrying). I think they were about $5 or $6 and they worked great. I know we will get a lot of use out of them this summer.

I picked up a couple of Bottle Bandits at REI before my last trip. It's a carabiner with an o-ring that fits around most water bottle necks. I clipped mine to the strap of my bag, but my friends clipped theirs to belt loops. It worked perfectly.

My husb wears a fanny pack that holds 2 water bottles. He just adjusts it so that it's facing forward when we're on rides. We got it at LLBean years ago and use it all the time.

I use a different tactic. I have used water bottle holders before, but didn't like them because they either bang against your leg or become just one more thing to sling over my shoulder. I tried a backpack, but didn't want to carry one every day (and have had water bottles leak in backpacks before).

My solution? I just walk up to any CS restaurant and ask for a cup of ice water. Then I drink it and then toss the cup. That way, I get cold water and don't have to lug around a water bottle.

ZoZo, how's the water at the park CSs? I know some places have the smelly water. If the water is good, I'm going to do what you do and just ask for icewater!

i plan on having a small bag with me. I'll drink my water and keep the empty water bottle with me to refill at fountains. I'm going to bring those flavor drink packages so use in the water bottle to cover up any bad water taste!

We have two things that we use that we got through Disney... We usually only carry our tiny camera bag that holds our id, park tickets/room key, $, and credit card. Along with a bottle of water.

One is a bottle strap holder and is sold at the carts that sell water. They are about $3. It has a nylon cord that goes around the lip of the bottle and has a nylon (decorated with Disney stuff) that you can wear over your shoulder or across your chest. What I like about this is when you are through with your water it fold up very tiny so that you can stick it in your camera bag or even in your pocket.

The other is a nylon cover for a bottle that has a strap and a clip. You can carry is over the shoulder/ across the chest, or clip it to something. IT works great to keep things from condensating however, the downside is when you are finished with it, it is kinda odd what to do with it if you don't have something to put it in. Too big to go in pocket or camera bag.

we have this really cool camera bag that my hubby mother gave to him for christmas a few years ago and it holds both cameras and extra film water bottles and other odds and ends

Hmmm well hopefully you can answer my question too. Someone told me that the rides have a place you can put your bag before going on the ride, like a cubby hole. But how much can you trust that if you have a camera in there?
Just wondering how safe that is and if those places to put bags exist? I don't want to go on a big ride thinking my bag will be safe with me on the ride!

The only "cubby" thing that I remember seeing a while ago was in Animal Kingdom at Kali River Rapids. It may be because you have the possibility of leaving there soaking wet. I don't remember seeing it there recently..

Anyone know of these "cubby" things? :confused3

I love this idea, but what is REI? Has anybody seen these anywhere else?
