Carrying on an umbrella stroller?

We will be using ME but want to keep our umbrella strollers with us so we can get out to a park right away. Do airplanes usually have a place to store umbrella strollers (large items) that are carried on?

I'm trying to avoid having to claim them at the carousel so we can get straight on the ME.

By the way, don't carry to much in it if you have a storage bag. They did have us fold it and run it through x-ray. Had to wake dd up for it. I did not have a problem, but other treads have suggested putting it in one of the bags that folding chairs come it to keep it from accidental opening. Have a great trip.
