We have rented a 3 wheel ECV for my DH who has had two knee surgeries in the past two months. He's using crutches and wants to bring them along to go thru lines etc. Will it be easy to carry them on the ECV and is there anything that might be helpful for us to bring from home to allow easy carrying?

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

Almost all lines at WDW are "mainstreamed", so an ECV can be taken all the way through the line up to the boarding area. The few attractions that are not have alternate entrances. In the rare situation where an ECV can not get to boarding, there are wheelchairs that can be used temporarily.

If you are renting from one of the local off-site vendors they should be able to supply a crutch holder which mounts on the back of the ECV. Usually these will be a one-time charge of about $10 for the length of the rental.

You might bring along a few bungee cords that could wrap around the seatback and hold the crutches.

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. You may be most interested in posts #2, 4 and 5.

Thanks! I've called and order a crutch carrier and they also said we should bring along one bungee cord. I think we're all set to go!
