Carrying an SLR?

When at WDW I just keep my SLR around my neck. I understand that US has stricter guidelines for bags and such than Disney. Will I be able to keep my slr around my neck and/or hold it on rides? If I will have to get a locker, I will just not bring it to the parks.

Nevermind, I just noticed a few threads asking the same question popped up. Hmm that sucks. Guess I will just use my iphone (5 ). Can you carry phones on your belt or do they need to be put in lockers too? (Dh and I do not carry bags)

Put it in your pocket - but yes you can wear it on your belt.

While the restrictions may be a bummer, it's for the safety of everyone riding. I wouldn't want to be sitting near someone who's camera flies off and hits someone causing a serious injury. I'm actually surprised Disney hasn't had this happen yet but rest assured...when it does...you will see similar restrictions at Disney too. All it takes is one accident.
