Are we allowed to keep our carry on with us while testing and after boarding ? And only send the large suitcases ?

Also in the case where both my daughter and I
We will be doing our check in each seperatly
don’t get the same PAT and boarding number
There is no way we can board together unless we wait for the one with the latest time ?
Thanks

Yes, you keep your carry ons with you.

The only way for both parties to board together would be for the one with the earlier arrival time to wait for the one with the later arrival time.

In previous times you could keep your carry on with you. No experience currently to answer that definitively.

As for the second question, that is correct. You can't board together unless you wait for the second boarding number. With the new PAT process I'm not sure how forgiving they are if you arriving later then your scheduled time as well. You could possibly arrive, test, and then wait in the cleared to sail area until your second party is also cleared to sail and then board together.

Hopefully others can chime in.

As with all things DISNEY, boarding will depend on which CM is checking times.

We had 11 and they were only at 8 and we were boarded. Then on the next cruise we were 14 and friends traveling with us 15 and the CM made them wait so we waited too. :confused3

How will you be getting to the port? If using DCL Transfers, you should be ok to arrive together on the bus and go through testing. If arriving separately by another mode of transport, the later PAT may not be allowed to enter early and you’ll need to meet up onboard. If arriving together by another mode, I recommend all arriving at the later time, then you can all test and board together.

All carry-ons stay with you until the staterooms arrive available, usually around 1:30-2:00pm. There are no luggage carts or trolleys, you’ll need to carry or roll it yourselves.

We kept one backpack the whole time with snack/water in case of disaster at testing.
