Carry On Restrictions

Hi - I know some of the intense carry-on rules have been relaxed recently but I am wondering if carry on luggage with wheels is permitted again. My daughters both have those little kiddie suitcases on wheels which were perfect for travelling the last time and I'd like to use them again, but not sure we are able...does anyone know? We're not flying until April so I suppose things can change before then but just wondering!

never had a problem with wheeled carry-ons as long as they fit the size requirements measured with the wheels.

I thought carry-ons with wheels were specifically prohibited under the new carry-on regulations. I am really hoping it is fine so long as they fit the size requirement.

Has anyone tried or asked recently? I saw this question on the Cdn trip planning board as well but no answers yet...

Are you flying from Canada or another international destination? There were some temporary restrictions earlier this year which were relaxed, but there are NO and were NO restrictions on US domestic flights in regards to wheeled luggage within the permitted size.

Without knowing your country of origin it is difficult to provide information. If you are flying on a domestic US flight, check your airline website and www.tsa.gov.

can I still carry on my rolling 3 ball bowling bag with bowling balls and shoes in it? I am flying Airtran and they have a 52" carry on allowance......

Ah, but do they have a WEIGHT limit for your carry-on? I know I wouldn't want to be conked on the head with my one eight-pounder, never mind the half-ton or so of equipment you must have in that bag!
