Could someone recommend a good carry on with wheels?? Last time I traveled I had a tote and duffel bag- no wheels and it was too heavy lugging it around the airports -so I would appreciate any recommendations.

How much do you plan to use it? How long to you expect it to last? Walgreen's has a rollaboard for $10 this weekend; if you're careful with it, it could last a while. If you can get an ultralightweight but relatively expensive polycarbonate roller at ebags.com or even Target, it costs more up front but lasts longer.

I have an underseat Travelon bag I got from QVC, but ebags (I think) has something similar. Smaller than your typical rollaboard, but it truly does fit under the seat in front of me. It's wedge-shaped with a handle on the bottom. Note that this is the only suitcase I bring onboard. My personal item is my purse.

Thank you for the reply. I will look into Walgreens this week end. I was looking at the Vera Bradley duffle bags with wheels but did not know how sturdy they would be and did not know which size would be best. Last tiime going to WDW the duffle bag had plenty of room going but coming back it was pretty heavy. I also have read that swivel wheels work best?? As far as how long I expect it to last probably at least 5 years.

I have, and use, an LLBean rolling duffle. It is the medium sized one. It is just at the size requirements for a carryon bag. My only issue with any of the LLBean rolling duffles is that the wheels tend to be too close together and the bag can tip over if you aren't careful when pulling it. But other than that, I love mine.

Be sure you check the airline's website for the maximum size. There is a big difference between airlines. Most of the legacy airlines limit the size to 45", which is length+width+height (including handles & wheels). Some of the low cost carriers allow larger but that could change at any time.

I have a rolling carry on from Brookstone.

It's not cheap, but it has been going strong for a few years now and holds a lot more than it looks like it would. It's also not one of those huge carry ons that really look like they should be checked. It also has wheels that turn so you can roll it behind you, next to you, in front of you, etc. It will even roll sideways to fit in those narrow neener plane aisles.

I'm a fan of TravelPro. Their stuff is a little pricey, but excellent quality.

I bought my daughter a set of 2 suitcases that both have wheels and she loves them. Got them from Penney's for $50 and they're really cute. Plum with circles.

I second the post for LLBean. I have a great carry on that fits under the seat and it is on wheels!! Used it on my last trip and it worked great.
They are having a free shipping event right now. And remember the guarantee - return it at anytime if you have a problem with it.
I use it everyday as well as I am currently going to college and use it for my school books. Love it.
