Carry On Luggage when Boarding

What do people usually carry on to the ship? I was expecting my cases to go via the luggage handing people and I would just carry my handbag (purse) and paperwork. Why would I need anything else?

Maybe I would have a small bag with my swimming costume (do I need a towel or are they provided?) and my camera but I really can't think what else I would want.

Well, just like flying, you should bring whatever you can not live without in your carry on..ANy medications, or whatever may be an absolute neccesity if god forbid there is a missing luggage issue..

Some people also bring rolling coolers with drinks or what have you.

You really have the right idea of making it light, as your room is not ready until 1:30 pm, and it can get heavy..

We always carry on a daybag- filled with swimming suits, any medications that we need, camera, and laptop (if we bring it), and paperwork/documents.
We also take our rolling cooler with us filled with the necessities! Some people check their coolers, but it has never been an issue for us to bring it on with us, that way we know for sure nothing happens to our precious cargo inside!

When we flew into Orlando, we each had a carry-on. But we checked everything before boarding. We walked on the ship with one carryon, our bathing suits, meds and documents. Towels are provided at the pools. Others also pack a change of clothes for each member of the family, which is why you see alot of carryons. I didn't do this last time and I am glad! What a relief! One carryon and a pocketbook. That's the way to go!
