I am not a frequent flyer, and have a question about what is allowed in carry-on bags. I use a plastic dental guard which my dentist tells me need to be in water when not is use -even when I travel. The container it is in probably takes about 1/2 cup of water. Will I need to pack that in my checked luggage or can I keep it in my carryon?

It's a medical device. Put it in a plastic baggie and send it thru the scanner. (If the TSA has a stroke, pour the water out, go thru security and walk to the nearest water fountain and refill. I doubt the few minutes will present a problem!)
