Does Disney allow you to sit with a child on the Carrousel or do you need to stand next to them? DD 2, loves carrousels but is still too young for me to feel comfortable with her on her own horse.

not sure there is enough room for more than one on the horse. Just throw your arm around his/her waist and they will be fine while you stand next to them. :flower: have fun!

I am not sure about the official policy, but when my dd screwed up the courage to ride a horse the first time I chose one of the bigger horses (not a small one) BTW, Cindy's horse is the one with the Gold Ribbon on the tail. and I rode behind her. Now she chooses the smaller horses if given a choice so her dad stands beside her.

I do not know the official policy, either, but on our last trip, we took our daughter (then 15 mos) on the carousel. My dh just stood next to her, with his arm around her waist, the whole time. She did just fine. :flower:

My wife has done both....So whatever you feel comfy with doing....They have yet to say anything....

We have done it both ways as well. Actually, my dh had both our 3 yr old and 1 yr old sitting with him on a horse on our last trip! My 5 yr old was on another horse, and I was taking pix of them all. :teeth:

BTW, the carousel horses have these big leather seatbelts that you can buckle the child in. That was the only way my DS would go on a carousel horse.
