Hi, We came back from Pop Century in September and have rebooked for 2 weeks next year at caribean beach 20 September on Free Disney Dining anyone else there then. So excited. We have been to florida 8 times but this was the first time with DDP, it was so yummy.

We're there 18th September to 9th October on free dining but they've taken off so many restaurants and the starters and the tipping from the plan so I don't know how good value it will be but hey, at least i'm not paying for it :thumbsup2

We're there from the 9th,9th time going but first time on-site:goodvibes ! There until the 30th.By the way WDW have just updated the Restaurants on DDP the only ones still missing are Japan & Italy in Epcot.See you all there! SD:thumbsup2

Morning, we originally booked Pop Century for end of Aug/ start of Sept 08, but were offered the free DDP if we upgraded to one of Port Orleans x 2, Coronado or Carribean Beach. Was advised by agent to avoid Carribean as the main pool would be out of commision at that time .
Obviously I cant confirm this to be true nor can I guess if this would effect your pleasure gained during your stay, but if you think it would you could maybe check with your agent and possibly get your hotel changed.
Will you be booking any Dinner shows before you travel?

Hi yes we were aware about the pool closure but I think it is supposed to reopen around the 22nd there are still lots of other pools within CBR it will not effect our holiday as we were at ASMo 2 year ago and their pool was closed, there are so many other things that we will be doing, thanks for the info though.

Yes we will be booking Ohanas before we go.

Are you booking anything.

Expect to book a few, but obviouly need to wait till the 180 day mark.
Also as we are a large group (14) I will be registering as a Group Gathering and hopefully booking their dining options, Has anyone ever done this?

Ohana is definately on our list but not sure about the "real" dinner shows,we're struggling to fit in all the TS restaurants that we want to try already!! Already knew about CBR's pool,Disney informed us last week (although it wasn't mentioned when we booked 7 weeks ago!) but CSR wasn't available-over 12 months in advance & not available!! But plenty of other pools to choose from.
SD:thumbsup2

We were advised when we booked, but as you say there are lots of other pools to choose and water parks, adam loves the water parks, can't wait to try the new aquatica at sea world. Did you book directly with disney or via the travel agent. Have you been to Ohanas?

Kerry-we booked direct with Disney with free DDP,originally we were going to go with virgin but for some reason their system wanted to charge us for the last 3 days of DDP & WDW never (their loss!)Apart from the parks we have never eaten at any of the Disney Restaurants,we have always stayed in the LBV area & have always eaten at our favourite restaurants locally. This DDP thing takes some planning!!:woohoo:
Sharon don't know which Island yet although Aruba was recommended on another thread so think that we will go for that.
SD:thumbsup2

I dont think you will get a choice of what Island to stay at. We are going to CBR next September 6th to 20th. Who are you going with?

wea re staying in csr for our disney wedding in sept 08, we booked as soon as the brochures came out so missed out on free ddp but had to book so early so we made sure we could get what we wanted before booking our wedding

If you are booked with Disney give them a call and you might be able to apply the DDP offer if it is still availabe. We did this for next years POR part of our trip. I dont know if UK travel company s will but they might as it is Disneys promotion so it wont cost the travel company. Still worth trying, not sure when offer expires, someone on the boards will though. Good luck with your wedding.

yes unfortuanltey booked with virgin as i used to work with them so i love flying with virgin atlantic and didnt want any hassle as we are doing a two centre. We have a party of about 30 going with us but I'm sure we will have a great time, the food is not that expensive out there so i'm not bummed really

My Disney confirmation invoice says that the pool is out until the 15th so fingers crossed when we arrive on the 18th if there is a delay it will only be a short one :thumbsup2

We are going to CBR in Aug 08, have you been before? Have you picked an island?

My Auntie stayed in Aruba Island this year whilst we were in POP, we went accross to visit her and the resort is very nice I think that one of the Trinidad ones is the furthest away from the main gates. Looking forward to it.

We are there for 3 weeks from Sep 22nd, Celebrating our DS 3rd birthday and my 27th, oh i can`t wait lol

This will be our 3rd trip, my DM`S 2nd and my DD`s 1st..............he is going to love it :thumbsup2
