Hello,

We are staying @ the Carribean Beach Resort in 2 weeks and I was wondering if anyone could suggest which buliding to request? I know we probably won't get it but it's worth a try and I'm not sure which is the best building. Thank you.
:goodvibes

We have stayed in building 21 and 23 (Marintinque). I believe bldgs 21,22 and 23 are not a preferred location so no additional charge. The walk to the food court and pool area is not too bad. There's also a nice beach area nearby, but those are scattered throughout the property.

It's a very pretty resort. We have stayed there twice. Enjoy your trip! :)

I wanted to add that I'm curious about buildings 51 and 45, as it looks like the walk across the bridges and the island would be pretty short.

Jamaica is where our family likes to stay. We usually request 44 or 45. Jamaica is right across the lake and right next to a bus stop. Have a great trip.

Any other suggestions for this resort?? Stayed there once a few yrs back.

I did I was just looking for suggestions from fellow posters in case anyone had any good advice. :).

Martinique or Trinidad North for convenience sake. Very close proximity to theme pool and food court. There is a preferred category which will give you that area, not sure exactly which buildings preferred consist of. Stayed there ( Trinidad North) back in 2002 with preferred location and was great location. Became DVC member shortly after.

We love CBR and our favorite section is Barbados. Favorite buildings are 15 and 12. In fact, we were just there in August. It's a but further than some of the other sections but we actually enjoy taking the walk to Old Port Royale and walking around the lake, as well. And we find the landscaping in Barbados to be just a bit much "full" than it seems to be in some of the other sections. Of course, that might not be important to you but, to us, it adds the sense that we are staying in a tropical setting. Love CBR!

Thanks for the info!! I do love nice landscaping!! :)

I have stayed in Barbados 16 and Jamaica 43. We LOVED both those locations.

From our beach on Jamaica, we could see some of Illuminations, we had a quiet pool right there at our building and it wasn't a far walk at all across the bridge to the main pool. That walk across the bridge and little island was very pretty.

Barbados was nice because we were in between the quiet pools in Barbados and Martinique.

I know a lot of people say CBR is huge, too spread out etc, but we don't find that to be the case. I will say the Pirate rooms in TRinidad South would be a hike, but to us, all standard room are fine. Which is why next time I stay there, I probably won't request a section. We loved walking around the resort and checking out the various pools and would be happy anywhere.

CBR is a great resort, I hope you enjoy your stay as much we have!

Congratulations on getting married and honeymooning at WDW!!

Aruba might be nice, same walk over the bridge as Jamaica, but something different for you to try and enjoy!

Have fun!:goodvibes

My daughter and her husband honeymooned at the CBR in May, 2010. They requested Jamaica but got Aruba. They loved it! It was still across the lake and they loved walking over the bridge in the mornings for their cup of coffee. Have a great honeymoon!!!
