I'm sure this question has been asked before but would still like everyone's opinion. Thinking about a last minute trip and was needing opinions on CBR or CS. We've stayed at Port Orleans (when it was called Dixie Landings). I know that CS is newer but we like the tropical feel of CBR. When was the last remodel of the rooms at CBR, how to they compare to CS rooms. Do both pools have a slide. Any other input would be great.

The remodel is a year old at CBR. They also redid the food court. The pool is bigger and nicer at CSR but CBR is still our favorite.

CBR has a curtain between the room and sinks creating a dressing area. They also now have the iron and ironing board in the room like CSR. They also have hair dryers. I like the theming better at CBR.

I prefer the CBR over the CSR. I find that many of the newer resorts I've stayed in have thinner walls than the older one. When I stayed at the CSR, we could hear our neighbors on either side, and footsteps of the people above us (and it didn't sound like pounding footsteps--just regular walking). I never heard a sound while in the room at the CBR.

The rooms at both were very nice. Other than the decor, there isn't much difference in the two.

I do not like the way the food court is run at the CSR. They have a host seat you, and then you go get your food. The host will get your drinks for you. They also clean the trays from your table. For this service, you are charged an extra 10% on your bill. It really adds up if you eat at the food court a lot.

If you do stay at the CBR, try to get a room close to the main pool and the food court building. We stayed in Trinidad South, and it was a good 15 minute walk from our room to the food court. We could have gotten a room in Martinique if we waited until later in the day, but the room in Trinidad South was ready so we took it. It was our worst decision of the trip.

We definitely preferred CBR - probably would not return to CS unless it was the only resort available.

We preferred the tropical landscaping versus southwest - after all, we were in Flordia. CS had one sink versus two at CBR. I did not like the food court at CS - lots of food selections just not to our liking.

The slide at the main CS pool was very nice and so were the quiet pools. Walking around the area was very quiet and enjoyable - about the same as CBR.

CS is very convenient to all the parks. There are only four bus stops at CS - more at CBR. The buses were never overly crowded and most were convenient at the parks.

I agree with Karen - avoid Trinidad South and the rooms are quieter at CBR.

Hope this helps!

:D We've stayed at CBR 3 times then decided to to try CS and were very disapointed. CS is to bland and non-Disney IMO. CBR, especially with children is the way to go. We always stayed in the 4500 Section of Jamaica... quiet with a short 5 min. walk to food court and main pool.:D

Just a vote for Coronado Springs here. :) I love it there! Since it is a convention center, it seems like they have more to offer: more food choices, recreation, etc. The staff is amazing at CS too.

And I love to walk around the lake at night. So beautiful!
