Carribean Beach or Coronado Springs

Well as it is only the two of us planning to go and looking at WDW offers we are very tempted to book 5 nights at one of the above and do 6 nights at our home resort. We wanted to save points for 2015 as will be taking 4 children and will be the cheaper option to use our points then.
I have stayed at CBR but it was 2005.I cannot really remember a lot. Looking at the pictures of both We prefer the look of CS due to it just being us two.
CS does not seem to get much of a mention on here and I wondered if anyone has been and what there views are?
I thought CBR was nice but always remember saying I preferred pop That brings me to say Do we stay at AOA (which we viewed this time and really liked and ate there,use our TIW card (but can only get 20% off in hotel and limited CS places )and not get the free qsdp for £1016 or for the extra stay at CBR or CS for £1191

Decisions I don't want to ponder too much as like last year the prices will start to go up. The $200 gift card is a good deal aw well.

I must admit we haven't stayed at either but have spent a bit of time at each. I prefer CB, I know its huge but I felt more relaxed there. I prefer the food court in CB over the pepper mill as well. But as you have already stayed there I would give CS a go. I also like AOA but found it way to hectic. After a day in the parks etc I need to come back and relax and thought AOA was just too busy for that.

We have stayed at CSR and love it! If it wasn't for our DVC and love of one bedrooms CSR would be our first choice

If you get the free QSDP the pepper market is a great use of credits for dinner.

Whilst we haven't stayed at CBR we have visited and eaten a couple of times but we just preferred CSR.

In case it matters to you CBR is the only mod to still have double beds. The others have upgraded to queen beds now (this is important to us as DH & I can not share a double bed comfortably lol)

I haven't stayed at either so can't offer a proper opinion, but Coronado Springs is a convention resort which is worth considering. Their pool also has no deep end. I would definitely choose a moderate over AoA though simply because the rooms are bigger. All the moderate rooms are the same size as each other. I also prefer the theming of any moderates over the values. For me they are too in my face.

The fact CSR is a convention resort is often mentioned but after 5 stays I really don't get why it is such a big deal as several of the deluxe resorts also are convention resorts and nobody minds there (CR, YC/BC, BW, GF) :s

For the record in 5 stays there we had a convention in every time and not once did it bother us. The only thing it means is the pools during the day are empty and the buses are not as busy as other resorts.

CSR tends to sell out very quickly because it's small. I really liked CBR but we stayed there in 2008, I prefer it over any of the other moderates to be honest. We stay at SSR now, so I don't know if CBR is still as good but of those two, I'd probably go for CBR over CSR.

We stayed at CSR for 11 nights in December.

We all really liked the resort (I think even better than POFQ). We were in Casitas, near a quiet pool and not far from the main pool. However, it was probably a good 10 or 15 minute walk to the central area, this didn't really bother us. The walk round the lake was lovely and dd enjoyed the dig site.

Thankyou all. After looking at the room decor and resorts we prefer CSR but a development today appeared that has totally changed our plans. DB sister has announced she is getting married in May smack bang in the middle of our planned dates!!!! Cant go any earlier than the 14th as DB 2 kids birthdays and I cant risk getting Aleave for end of may so now have to change the month. Not happy!!!! We dont want to go June cuz of higher risk of rain and July and August due to crowds and humidity so it looks like september. I dont want to think about waiting that long for our return but have no choice. We have to decide by sunday as DB starts new job and they will honour any aleave he has booked. Upside its a bit cheaper in september

October would be similar to May in terms of weather.

I've not stayed at either,but think they both look great.

Think perhaps as a couple,I would go for csr,but don't think you can go wrong with any Disney resort!

I was looking at both CBR and CSR, and CSR won for me.
CBR has double beds whereas CSR has queens, not sure if that will make a difference or not to you?
Both resorts look lovely though! I hope you still manage to go

Iv been september 3 times now tracy and weather has been lovely. We wont be going till mid or end of. The last couple of years June has been bad for rain which to be fair I dont mind and expect some of but dont want rain everyday. Went 18th sept three years ago and crowds were low and no rain. I know its a risk and noone can predict the weather hey xx

After spending a fabulous 17 days at CSR last October my vote goes to Coronado! we loved it there Initially I was worried that 17 days may be too long - especially if we didn't like the hotel, but I worried over nothing! We went with extended family, and they all loved it too, so much so that we are hopefully going back to CSR in 2015

The resort never seemed crowded, buses were great and hardly ever full and nice food at the Pepper Market. We stayed in the Cabana's and couldn't have asked for a better location, would definitely try and stay in that section again

Thanks for that. It will only be 5 nights but the rooms look nicer than CBR and its probably not as vast. Being a convention centre doesn't bother us. We stayed at BLT and the contemporary is also one. Never affected our stay.

No, it never affected our stay either!

I was worried at first about staying at CSR as on a lot of posts I read (mainly on the US boards) people mentioned the big distances walking from A to B around the resort. We are not huge walkers (except when in Florida ) but we never found it a problem to walk to the pepper market, the dig pool or the bus stop.

The pepper market was great on the dining plan but think its changed since then. The resort was lovely throughout and never had a problem with the buses
