nee.jpg I I am seeing horse drawn carriage rides at Fort Wilderness and also at New Orleans. Any opinions on which is best? :flower1:

We did the carriage ride at Port Orleans Riverside (on arrival night) a few years back and loved it. Kids were probably 7 and 9 at the time, though I don't remember exactly. Perfect way to relax amid all the hub-bub of a Disney trip.

DW and I did the carriage ride at FW for our 25th anniversary.
It is a 25 minute ride that starts at the Settlement ( by the boat launch ). We went through one of the camping loops and got to see some of the campers decorations. Campers at the Fort are always decorating there sites in one way or another no matter what time of year. We also camp every Disney vacation, never stay anywhere else. Not sure what you get to see on the POR carriage ride.

My husband proposed during a carriage ride at POR! We went a different route taking us over toward the gazebo by the mansions where we got off and he actually proposed. I imagine taking a ride along the Sassagoula River down towards French Quarter would be really pretty too!
