Hi,

I am going to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue next week, it is my honeymoon. I see a lot of people saying they are going to be taking carriage rides to the show. I have been searching around for details, but cannot find any.

If anyone can tell me what this is all about and who I can contact I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.

Jim

Hi Jim
The rides are not to the show, but around an access road in Ft. Wilderness. You could do them before or after the show, though. They're great for a honeymoon - very romantic later in the evening. I think you can also bring/have Champagne on the ride.

Here's the info from allears.net:
Private carriage rides - Cost $30/half-hour. Call (407) 824-2832 to reserve (reservations suggested, not required). Depart from Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. nightly. There are two carriages available; one accommodates four adults and two children, the other accommodates two adults and two children.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks a lot for the info.

But hate to keep asking questions, but is Pioneer Hall where the Hoop-Dee-Doo is?

Is it close? If I have 7:15 tickets could I do like a 6:00 carriage ride? Or should I do it after the show.

Here is one issue I am having, I would like to do it after the show, but I am staying at the AKL and am worried that I will not be able to find transport back to the hotel. Do busses run later?

Hoop De Doo is in Pioneer Hall, but I would do the carriage ride AFTER the show, that way your not rushing around.

After your ride, just hop on a Ft. Wilderness bus to Downtown Disney where you can switch to an AKL bus.

Let me know if you have any other questions!!!

Yes, Pioneer Hall is where HDD is. You should have no problem with bus service since it runs very late (past Park hours). If the Magic Kingdom is open late that night it is very easy to take the bus from AKL to MK and then take a resort boat to Fort Wilderness (drops off right by Pioneer Hall).

Another more economic alternative to the Carriage rides is the Hay ride. We have done this after the 7:00 HDD show. It is right outside Pioneer Hall and is approx 8.00 each. Leaves at 9:30 and is alot of fun. Takes you out to the beach to watch the Wishes fireworks if there are late fireworks that night.

Have fun!

A better number may be WDW Recreation Reservation 407-939-7529 x4.

That's WDW-PLAY. And that's what we all like to do in the World!
