Carriage Ride Question

Dh and I just did one in October at POR for our 15th anniversary. It was wonderful ... we wound around through the Alligator Bayou section and up through the Mansions, then over into the parking lot of POFQ. We were supposed to go all around POFQ (the other carriage did), but we had the slooooow horse (Ace) and if we'd gone on the regular route, the ride would've taken about two hours, LOL!!

It was at twilight, and the lights along the path were just coming on ... very, very romantic! Dh says we're going to do it on every anniversary trip. :goodvibes

AWWWWW I am going to book one for our 20th trip in the fall

DW and I have our third PO carriage ride scheduled for next Saturday following the 6 PM Cirque performance   It is very romantic!!! :cloud9:

In fact, a friend of mine proposed to his girlfriend on a PO carriage ride two weeks ago!!! :cool1:

"Horse-drawn carriage rides are available from nightly from 6PM – 9:30PM at Port Orleans Riverside (in front of Boatwright's Dining Hall), Saratoga Springs resort (near the Boat dock), and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground (near Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall). Up to four adults or two adults and three children will fit in the carriage. You may bring your own beverage on the carriage. Reservations for the 25 minute rides are suggested and can be made up to 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY (939-7529). $35 fee charged for no-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. Walk-ups are permitted but drivers cannot accept credit card payments. Cost: $35 per carriage, not per person."

I read somewhere that you can have the Disney florist send flowers, gift baskets, & even champagne to the carriages when you have an advance reservation.
