Carpet Bag Question

Is the carpet bag too big to be a good workout bag? I'm needing a new one and thought this would be perfect if it wasn't TOO big.

I had ordered one of these and its pretty big. I would say too big for a workout bag myself.

Thanks! I don't need too big of one. I have to carry a huge bag back and forth to work already to carry my pumping stuff - (I'm breastfeeding). I just need an extra one to take to the gym with me since I can't fit it all in one bag....and I'm tired of carrying my wal-mart bag in with my change of clothes. Does anyone know how big the tote is? Is it big enough for a workout bag?

The carpet bag is 21"x14"x8" so picture a roll-on size suitcase on it's side instead of upright and that's about what the carpet bag looks like. Way too big for a gym bag...more like a weekender bag.

I had originally ordered the carry-on luggage and thought the carpet bag would be a nice additional piece. I'm actually going to return the carpet bag because it's just too big for my needs. I would say you could comfortably pack for a weekend trip for 2/3 people in this bag!) I think it's just as big as the carry-on suitcase.

Okay someone tell me will this Carpet Bag be able to be used as a Carry On?

I want to use this as my carry on. There is only me and DS going. So I know I can get some of mine and some of DS clothes in there. The rest in the suitcase. This will allow for room on the way back.

You could use it as a carry-on as long as your second item is something smaller like a purse or backpack. The carpet bag really is about the same size as a roll-on suitcase so I don't know if the airlines would allow one person to carry both on.

The carpet bag is nice. I have one in the Mickey comic design. As for a carry on, I would never do that. This is a big bag and have used it to carry beach towels and shoes and checked this bag. If you have a rolling carryon, I would use that. Once you get the carpet bag filled, it will be extremely heavy and not something easily toted around the terminal. JMHO

I was thinking of getting this to use for my 2 DDs' (1 & 3) clothes.

I usually can fit both of their clothes in the small (20 inch?) suitcase. I pack their outfits in ziplock bags so they are flat. Would the carpet bag be big enough for this? I have such a hard time picturing the size of something even with the dimensions!
