Hello! I have been reading this board for a long time, but this is my first post. My question is about Carousel of Progress. Me, my wife and my two girls (ages 2 and 6) are going to Disneyworld in about 2 weeks. I am really hoping this attraction is open.

I have seen that Carousel of Progress is now a seasonal ride, but have not found anywhere that details what is considered the operating season for CoP.

Does anyone have any details on this? We will be there 05/19.

Thanks!

FunkDoC,

Welcome to the boards as an "official" member. I am leaving two weeks from tomorrow and am told that Carousel of Progress is open now and will continue to remain open since they have closed Alien Encounter. I am excited about this because I really like this ride.

Have a great trip.

It is rumored that CoP will remain open (though possibly close earlier in the day) during the Stitch's Adventure/Alien Encounter/Mission to Mars makeover.

Thanks for the info! I love this ride and am really glad it's going to be open. My oldest is 6 (will be seven on Saturday!) and she had just turned four when we went last time. I think she would get more out of this show this time around. Now my two year old is a different story...I can only hope that she remains somewhat sane while we are there. The two are complete opposites!:teeth:

CoP was open when we were there in November. May is more "seasonal" than November, so I am guessing it will definitely be open. Enjoy!

It's a great big, beautiful tomorrow......

I am not sure when it was -- but on a recent trek into MK, TimeKeeper was open! :earseek: I about fell over. I went to see that, and have seen CoP a few times, just because you never know which time will be the last.

We were there in November, on a weekday, and CoP and Timekeeper were both open. Supposedly they will remain open while Stich! is under construction. I really hope they keep it open after. It is one of my favorites as well and I think closing it permanently would be a huge travesty. It was Walt's favorite!
