My search engine isn't working :badpc: Anyway, can you tell me about getting around from Carousel Inn. I know it is right across the street and an easy walk, but I thought I read somewhere about a crosswalk or pedestrian overpass? Is there a designated or best place to cross the street??? Also, we are taking the DLE from LAX, do you know where it drops off for the Carousel Inn?? Is it at the hotel or at another spot?? TIA!

The Carousel Inn is located just a couple hotels down from the crosswalk to the parks' entrance. You just go out the front door, hang a left and walk to where the crosswalk is. It's not an overpass--just a light. Don't worry; you can't miss it!

As far as the bus stop...I'm not positive, but I believe it drops just a little ways down from the hotel, if not right in front of it. I believe you get off the bus and go right and your hotel will be within 1/2 a block.

HAve fun!!!!!

Thanks!!! I feel better now! I guess I can just ask the DLE driver :Which way to the Carousel???" :goodvibes

DLE drops you off at the bus stop that is outside the Tropicanna (the hotel next door). You get out of the bus turn left it is about 50 yards away, there is a big sign out on the road so you can't miss it. Would love to hear you feedback on the hotel when you get back, we had a really good stay in 2006 and are going back to DL in 2009.

Carousel is really super-close. :)

Beds are comfy, rooms are pretty.

Front desk employees are nice, and the housekeeping staff were always smiling.

However, if you like steamy showers, turn on the a/c and the fan, b/c I set off the smoke detector around midnight last weekend, trying to soothe sore muscles from 11 hours at the parks! :headache:

:rotfl2: that would be just my luck!! I've read all good things about the Carousel and am looking forward to it! $$ was comparable to the others in the same area, I just liked their pic the best, it looked clean. I'll let you know when I get back!
