Carolyn Allen's Tux Questions...

Has anyone used Carolyn Allen for their tuxes? Where did you have your guys measured, if you were out of state that didnt charge you? I recieved an email from Carolyn Allen and they said something about a day for a fitting that they would come to the room at movies resort where the guys are staying? so the guys get measured and then fitted again in dis (how many days b4 the wedd), im confused?? How does this work?

Here is the scoop. Usually places don't charge to have measurements done. Just take it to Davids Bridal off of Dodge, I think they have an Ascot tux place there. Have them meausre b/c that is pretty much what Carolyn Allens has. We are doing the fitting the day before the wedding in the afternoon. I really would not recommend that, but it was the only time we had. This just made timeframes really tight for her b/c we have a 9am wedding. I would do it the day before the day before your wedding...I hope this made sense!!!

Im the same we have the wedding on the tuesday and 2 members of the wedding aprty are not getting to Orlando untill the Saturday afternoon. We have a welcome dinner on the sunday night so that only leaves me with the monday to get everything sorted.

Does anyone know, if i can get the Best Man and FOG to get to her shop on the saturday afternoon, 1. if they are open on saturdays? and 2. if she would be able to do their fittings then?

I am from the UK. We looked at Caroly Allens website, chose a suit and emailed them the measurements (as much as we could do of course)
We arrived at Disney's Yacht club on the friday. We had arranged for Carolyn Allens to come & do a fitting on the Saturday afternoon (no charge).
They dropped off the suits the day of the wedding, which was the Wednesday.
When they had done with them, we left them at Bell services for them to collect (no charge).
Easy peasy, no messing. Email them or give them a call, they are so easy to work with.

Now I am confused! I called them and was told that I had to get my DF measured here in Virginia 6 weekd prior and they would bring the tux to us. We are getting married in July on a tuesday and get there the friday before. Maybe I should call again.

Yes, you get measured prior to arriving in Florida--wherever you live. Pick your tuxes on the site and place your order on their on-line order form. You will send your measurements along with your tux choice (i.e., style, color, shirt, tie, vest, shoe, etc.) as well as your credit card information for deposit. They will bring the tuxes and accessories you requested to your room one or two days prior to the wedding for a fitting. That way if anything is wrong (someone gained/lost weight, was measured wrong, etc.) they can bring you the correct size prior to the wedding.

I spoke to Candice, she was great. We only gave basic measurements, nothing professional, and they did the rest on the fitting day. We did it all within 5 days and it worked fine.
As to speak to Candice, she is lovely!
