Last day and we take a taxi to Downtown Disney to check our huge bulging suitcases in at the Virgin Desk. All checked in quickly so I ask the Virgin Rep there if I’m supposed to have any kind of voucher for the Mears bus which is due to pick us up back at the ASMo at 1:45, She says ‘Why don’t you get it back from here at 4 o’ clock?’ Great idea so she then goes to call Mears for me to make sure they’re not going to wait for us at the ASMO at 1:45, its taking a little time then she calls me over to say I’ve got a Limo booked, No, I say, we had a one way Limo transfer that we took from the airport to the Movies on the 12th November. She’s insisting that we’ve got a Limo booked so asks the Limo company to call back with a confirmation number as I obviously hadn’t got a voucher of any kind. We waited about 20 minutes and a call came through confirming a limo pick up at DTD for 4 0’clock. Yippee!! Its not everyday you get something for nothing, so I discreetly tell Mum and Ruth as we don’t want to mention it to the boys for fear that it’s a bus that picks us up.
Onto Disneyquest for the first time ever, great fun, we play the Buzz lightyear Astro blasters, the giant Human Pinball Machine, Aladdins carpets, The jungle cruise, a ton of video and arcade games and Pirates Of The Caribbean, A really good end to the holiday and we wander back to the bus pick up point a little before 4 0’ clock.
YAY!! Its D.C. and his big black limo, he’s surprised to see us again and we have a really good chat on the way back to MCO, a lovely guy, used to work as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise back in ’93 and still remembers his script perfectly. It’s the only way to leave the World, you know, so Its Limos every time for us now!!
MCO goes really smoothly and we’re in the departure lounge within 30 minutes, a quick phone call to Dad who updates us on the snow situation back home, a speedy duty free shop and we’re boarded and ready.
Flight goes at 18:05 very smooth and non-complicated. Nice dinner, watched War Of The Worlds and then settled down for a sleep.
Oh, I did have a quick Baileys on the plane!
