Carnival question

My friends are going on a Carnival cruise in a week. Can they arrive early (around 10) at the terminal like we did for our Disney cruise? How does it work there ? Is it the same as Disney? Where you go in and register? I was trying to remember what time they let us start going on the boat? We got in early, so we were close to the front of the line

They would have to contact Carnival, or check out the cruisecritics site which discusses all cruise lines.

I know they leave about 30 minutes before DCL leaves and port and they both arrive around the same back into port....but from what I have read, DCL's process for getting people off the ship is much smoother and quicker....I think Carnival takes longers to get everyone off.
