:cool1: :worship: Been on 2 DCL cruise 4 and 7 day cruise Looking to try a Fall cruise on Carnival Truimph, Anybody have any info on Carnival Line and how is there cruises @ adults only going Thank for any info. :grouphug: ::MickeyMo :Pinkbounc :disrocks: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I have been on Carnival several times. (Going on first DCL cruise next month- yeah!) Have also been on NCL. From what I have read, Disney and Carnival are very different. We like Carnival for an adults only cruise. The decor is bright and over-the-top. The food is pretty good. The shows are las vegas type. We tend to go to the comedian shows mostly. There's a casino if that's your thing. The cabins are a good size and now that we have had a balcony we will never go back!

Iknow Disney is group eating at dinner Is carnival the same idea or can you eat as a couple Thanks DCL is a great cruise Broadway Style shows :cool1: :cool1: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We are taking a family reunion cruise next October on the Carnival Pride. I have been lurking over at Cruise Critics to try and pick up some information. They seem like a nice group of people. They also have ship reviews. I know it won't be the same as our Disney Cruise, but for everyone to be able to afford to go...

My dh and I cruised on the Carnival Triumph NYC to Nova Scotia in August of 1999. We were not pleased. The guests on board were rather strange. One woman showed up in one of the theatres in bedroom slippers and curlers. The class of people on board was a little scary. The crew was nice, enjoyed our server for dinner, had to share a table with another couple. Carnival in my opinion is missing the disney magic. We will never vacation with anyone other than Disney. :sad2:

We took a carnival cruise out of Ca. and I had the same thoughts...the people were a totally different class that Disney or RC attracts. We were stuck at a table with 6 other people, 4 single guys who didn't speak english...it was not fun adn we did not go back to dinner after that first night. There was way to many falling down drunks for me to deal with...I am just so not into that whole drinking all night and vomiting thing!

We cruise CCL quite often. Don't find any different class of people. there are strange people on every cruise or vacation. My last DCL wasn't any different. Yes, no Disney Magic, it's not supposed to have it. I have never witnessed the fall down drunk crowd either, but then again I don't travel on spring break.
You just have to be careful what ship and when you go. The shorter cruises & older ships may attract the Spring Break crowd at certain times of year, because they can be so much less expensive. There are a lot more then two ships to choose from.
Cruise Critic will give you a lot of valuable info. I find the cabins just as comfortable and roomy as DCL. The newer ships actually have really comfy comforters. Plenty of storage too.
