I guess this is kind of an anti-rant.
So, I'm in my high school's higher level orchestra (symphonic), and we were playing today, when a group of people came in, (the principal, superintendent, and some other people), along with two news cameras, one from the local Fox station. They recorded us playing and then our principal talked to the seniors about how fantastic they are. Then he brought our director up to tell us that we've been selected as one of the top three high school orchestras in the country. We've been invited to go to New York next year over spring break and play at Carnegie Hall, which is pretty much the biggest honor you can get in music, and a once in a lifetime chance. *faint*
I'm so excited!:woohoo:

That's all I wanted to say :upsidedow just wanted to get it out

Cool my sister also is in Orchestra and she went to New York last spring break and she played at Carnegie Hall.

when my brother was in high school his choir got selected to preform there. Apparently really great acoustics.

Congrats!

Ahhhhh, that is AMAZING! Congratulations! You guys must be terrific, I mean, Carnegie Hall! That is too cool. Good luck!

OMG, that's sooooo cool!
I'm going to Europe with my orchestra this summer, so that's kinda cool..
You play violin, right? Me too :D
Best instrument ever. I've been playing for 9 years. =)
I wish my school had an orchestra. We have a pit orchestra for the spring musical but there isn't enough funding to get a real orchestra program. Even though the music directer would definitely like to have one.
