I've just decided to join some lady friends on a carnavial cruise in Jan....don't know anything about them...I've seen links that are other discussion boards can someone post one of them so I can read up...

Thanks...

dont know how to do the link thing but, go to www. cruisecritic.com then to the boards then alphabetical listing to all the cruise lines. Good luck

oops my fingers got ahead of me. Also go to the carnival site itself lots of good info there. www. carnival.com. Hopefully others can help you out with more info. I've only cruised disney and the big red boat so far but have thought about doing a carnival in the future. Hard to give up disney tho!

I have sailed on the Conquest, Holiday (x2), Celebration (x2) and the Inspiration. Email me if you are interested in finding out more on any of those specific ships.

you will have a great time!

If the above link to cruise critic didn't work, try this:

We learned a great deal about RCCL there, and the Carnival boards seem pretty popular too. Two of our friends have been on Carnival a couple of times and speak very highly of it. They actually prefer it to RCCL because they felt that the dinner service was better.

Friends of ours have been on more than a few carnival cruises; they say that the condition of each ship varies. The old ships are in " tatters" and the new ships are very nice. They say to check out each ship individually and don't assume all ships offer the same level of comfort and service.

and it was alot of fun. We have enjoyed all 4 cruises on Carnival along with cruising on Norwegian once (had bad experience on the Norway so am hesitant to go back but I am sure I will soon) but Carnival is nice. We tried to compare the 2 companies and honestly I didnt see much difference in the 2 except for the fact of no casino on board and many more kids on the Disney(ours included) which is why we chose Disney. It seemed to us that we had alot to do on both ships just different things. The only thing we really honestly loved about the Disney cruise was the private island...other than that it was about the same as we have experienced on Carnival. My suggestion would be to take a newer Spirit class ship if you can. They are nice and newer and most of the cabins have balconies on them for a reasonable price. We enjoyed both companies but I think Carnival gets a bad rep from some of the people that go on them. I saw just as many rude and obnoxious people on Disney as I did on Carnival..it is just easier to overlook for us on Disney because our 3 year old was being a pain and obnoxious (TO US) so we overlooked it.
I think you will enjoy it...really fun party type atmosphere. If you want more information let me know. We have been on the Destiny, Holiday, Ecstacy and the Spirit.

Hello there - Just thought I would let you know that Port Canaveral is expecting several new cruise ships in 2003 - they will be making longer excurisions than just 7 days - As i find out more about it, will post and let you all know.
Have a great Holiday
Always

snelsonbrown,
My wife and I will be interested in seeing what ships will be positioned at Port Canaveral within the next couple of years. Since we are very familar with the Orlando Airport (& area) and have taken 3-DCL 7-day'ers, it would be nice to once again cruise through that port. Hopefully an extended cruise (10 days) will be offered by other than Carnival.
