Can one make PS for Carnation Cafe or no?

Yes, you can. I've done it every time I've eaten there and I was always glad I did. The standby line can get pretty long.

We have had really good luck calling the day we want to eat there, usually 2-3 hours before we want to go, and getting a PS. Its one of our favorite places for breakfast.

Eat the bacon potato cheese soup if you get a chance!!! It is soooooo yummy! I have heard you can ask them for the recipe, but I didn't know that at the time.

Oh yes, the potato cheese soup is my favorite of anything at Disneyland. If you go during the day, many times you will get to meet Chef Oscar. He goes from table to table to greet people, and he is so nice. He's been at Disneyland since pretty much the beginning. It's been rumored that he's going to retire soon, which will be sad, he's a part of Disneyland history.

Is that the tiny little restaruant on the left side of main street (as you face the castle) where it's a hand full of tables outside? I think that's where we had lunch one day and it was wonderful!

When I was there on Saturday, it appeared that he was retired as he wasn't listed as the head chef on the menu and was eating lunch dressed in regular clothing (and left before my roommate and I did). They still have the recipe photocopied and he signed my copy of it and even came over after he was done eating to give some tips for when I make the recipe.

I went over soon after entering the park and asked for a PS around 3:30 pm and was told that they'd seat us as soon as possible but maybe not right on time. My roommate and I showed up a few minutes before our reservation time and were able to be seated right away.

Another menu item that's great is their beef stroganoff pot pie. My roommate let me have a taste of hers and it is to die for if you like beef stroganoff.
