Carnation Cafe Question

I made a reservation today for our last day at DL for Breakfast and the earliest I could get was 9AM. I heard that if we showed up early we could get in early. Is this true? How early can we get in?

That depends. I've found in the past that when mainstreet is open half an hour early before the official park opening you can get in line for Carnation cafe and if they're open and they have room they'll seat you. Last year we were let into mainstreet at 9:30 and got in to the Carnation cafe without reservations. But that was a slow time of year.

And on Early Entry days, Main St. is opened up an hour before the whole park opens, and I'm pretty sure I've seen people eating breakfast at Carnation Cafe while the crowd waited at the roped off areas of Main St.

My guess is that the earliest reservation time is when they'll start serving. Generally you want to check in for your PS about 15 minutes before your reserved time, and if they have a table available, you may be seated right away.

I don't know if that would apply to the first PS of the day, though.

What do they have at Carnation cafe? Is it someplace we should try? Do you typically need to have reservations?

Does Main St. open to everyone on EE days or just those with EE? I have never been and have no idea how EE works at DL.

The reason we are going to Carnation Cafe is for the Mickey Waffles. This will be our last day there and so I thought it would be fun for DD.
