Carnation Cafe Breakfast - yay or nay?

So we never do breakfast in the park anymore. We did Breakfast w/Minnie at Plaza Inn a number of times when the kids were younger. And when RBT used to have their counter service breakfast we did that a time or two. I love Carnation Cafe for lunch and dinner but haven't eaten breakfast there before. Is it any good? I figure with Max Pass we could get an early reservation and book a fastpass once we're in the park so I won't feel like I'm wasting ride time! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Breakfast at Carnation is a must-do for us every trip! The Mickey waffle is always a good choice, but I've had other stuff on the menu like the Oscar's Choice and the apple-granola pancakes, and it's always delicious.

Personally I value early park time more. Maybe you could get a little later reservation? After you’ve done some rides.

From what I can tell, you can not make a reservation before park opening.

Yes, but skip the rubbery scrambled eggs! If you want eggs, order them in a way that ensures they use an ACTUAL shelled egg.

We like to go there for breakfast towards the end of a trip when we're ready for a slower pace. I love their Eggs Benedict! It's nice to sit outside in the morning and watch people walk by too.

Carnation breakfast is a requirement for our family at least once per trip! SOmething for everyone on their menu!

Another vote yes! I love all their meals here, and breakfast is no exception. I like their eggs benedict. But I haven't had anything bad yet. I sure do miss seeing Oscar there though. He made the meal that much better!

We've also enjoyed our breakfasts at Carnation. My favorites are Oscar's Choice and the Mickey waffle.

Last week we decided to try breakfast at the River Belle Terrace. The menu is different from Carnation's and more expensive, but everything was very well prepared and delicious.

It's a must do twice for us every trip! Lunch and breakfast. Sometimes dinner at 6 so we can watch the parade and eat.

I’m in the minority but I value the park time more. If I really wanted breakfast there I would try to get as much morning park time in as possible and slip in at the end of breakfast.

I totally agree with this. Morning is the best park time. If we're going to do breakfast in the parks, we book the latest seating time and treat it more like brunch so we can use the early morning for touring.
