Trying to do something different for DS's 8th birthday. I was planning on surprising him and taking a treat to school to share with the class. He loves carmel apples and there's a little place near our house that makes the best homemade carmel and decorates the apples with candy sprinkles or whatever you want. Do you think this is a good idea or do you think the class will be looking around for the cake?

I personally would love them - but I wonder if all the students would like them or not. I'm also thinking of the mess factor involved and ho tolerant the techer will be.

I would double check with the teacher ahead and get his/her opinion.:D

lol sounds good to me, but then, i was sitting here debating whether or not to make caramel apples today for dw and dd, they both love them, i have all the stuff to do it , just not enough energy..lol.. imho.. i would check with teacher, but it sounds like a good idea:) much healthier than the cupcakes or lagre cake usually served or taken in as treet.
