Carmax??

I really want to get a used Toyota 4Runner and am thinking about going through Carmax. Anyone have any good or bad dealings with this business? Thinking of using the one in Plano or Garland, TX. I went to Toyota of Dallas Saturday night and we left quite unhappy.
I'm trying to make up my mind if I would rather get a V6 (has ABS but also gets worse gas mileage) or get a 4-cylinder (better gas mileage but no ABS).
I really want to get rid of my VW Passat. Too small and have had several problems with it.
Opinions or suggestions?

We've never bought from Carmax, but we have sold cars to them. We've used the location behind Texas Stadium.

They have treated us very well: no pressure, fair and honest price dealings, organized and simple transactions.

Working with Carmax was NOTHING like working with a regular car dealership. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Wow, it's a small world.

We purchased my car from Carmax in Plano and we couldn't be more pleased. I arranged financing ahead of time and we visited the Mitsubishi dealership across the street from them to start with. They pulled the hard sell stuff so we left and checked out Carmax. A salesman met us, gave us his card and told us to look around and let him know if we had any interest in one of the cars. We did and he got the car key. It was no hassle, no pressure and the easiest time I've ever had buying a car.

We've had the car for 15 months now and it's run like a top the whole time. Of course, there's no guarantees with cars even when they're new but we've been quite happy.

Have you checked out Carmax's website? You can check out what they currently have and they will ship between locations.
