Was thinking of adding this tour for our upcoming trip. It will be me, DH, DD23, DS25. The cost is $30, which is relatively inexpensive for Disney. The length of this is 60 minutes, which is good to me, not too much of our day taken up by this. I'm wondering if I could get some reviews of the tour, to see if it would be a good idea for our family. Thank you for your help!

My family (DW, DD13, and DD9) took the tour back in March and loved the experience. It was very well done. Felt exclusive and worth more than $30. We booked a FP for the safari immediately after which was cool to do after being behind the scenes.

There is no guarantee which elephants, if any, you will see. They have space to wander around. We did get to see baby Stella and Mom. But we were told that there is no refund even if you do not see a single elephant.

We did the tour in June and had a great time! My daughter loves elephants, and I find them fascinating, so I booked as soon as I could. I don't know how many people can be grouped at one time, but when we went there were only two other people aside from us, so five in total as my aunt came along too. I read another review on here where it was just the two of them. You're transported to the area in a minibus type vehicle and I believe there were seats for 16.

As for the tour, it's what you make of it. An animal ambassador meets you when you get off of the bus and is a fountain of information regarding elephants. Our ambassador was Ashley, and she both offered information on her own and answered questions that were asked. There's also a cultural representative full of information, and it was really eye-opening to learn about how elephants are viewed in Africa, the steps taken to prevent poaching, etc.

I say, go for it. It's cheap and not long at all, but the chance to get that close to these beautiful animals is fantastic! It was wonderful just watching them go about their daily activities.

We did it in June and saw baby Stella also. So cute!

I’d say it’s worth it. It’s not too expensive and I found it interesting. You get to go behind the scenes and hold petrified elephant poop. There’s even a little souvenir that makes a nice conversation piece

Doing this on our November Thanksgiving trip. 11/24 is my DH's birthday and AK is his favorite park so it will be extra special. We have a FP for the safari right after. So excited!

Group of 8 of us did it back in April. The ages ranged from my daughter who was 7 at the time and my in laws in their 60's and everyone loved the tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we did a FP for the safari afterwards.

If I remember right, there 10 of us total on our tour. We did the 10AM and saw all the elephants including baby Stella while very active

I'm so happy about all of your responses! I think we will book this... thank you so much!!

We went in May and LOVED it! There were 6 on our tour so we all had a lot of interaction with the animal keeper and ambassador. We'll be back in January with some other family members and are planning to do the tour again.

Another thumbs up from us. Did the tour back in July and loved it. Lots of information and wonderful overall experience. Baby Stella was a hoot. Our party of 4 had the tour to ourselves. Would definitely recommend it for any animal lover.

Can you get close to the elephants? How is this different from seeing them on the safari or at a zoo?

Closer than the safari. You are pretty far from the elephants on the safari. Probably not as close as a zoo, depending on the zoo.
