Caribean Beach vs Swan and Dolphin or MK area moderate

Both previous trips, we stayed at the values (movies and sports). Next trip, we want to upgrade to a moderately priced resort. We basically want:
1- To be able to walk to at least one park and avoid the long and crowded bus rides
2- To stay somewhere that we can see one of the nighttime fireworks displays from our room or hotel exterior when we are to tired to stay in the park
3- comfortable beds and a nice pool for the kids (9 and 7)
We have narrowed it down to possibly the three above so that we can walk to Epcot and maybe MGM, and walk through Epcot to catch the monorail to MK. We would also consider a moderate in the MK area. Please give any opinions as to which you prefer and why, and anything special you have found about any of these resorts. Thank you in advance for your opinions and thoughts.

FYI...there are no moderates in the Magic Kingdom area.

I love the Swan and Dolphin for their great location and Heavenly Beds! I'm not a pool person, but the Grotto pool at the S/D looks wonderful.

There are no moderates within walking distance to any theme park. But if you want a resort within walking distance to MGM and Epcot AND you want a good pool, check out the Yacht and Beach Club Resort. They have Stormalong Bay--a 3-acre pool area that is considered the best on Disney property.

Swan and Dolphin may be a good choice as they can be more affordable than the Disney Resorts and they do have access to both Epcot and MGM. I would still recommend the Yacht and Beach Club over S/D because of the pool.

CBR has only Bus access to parks...

The Grotto pool is pretty nice - Nothing can compare to Stormalong, but the Grotto is coming up close on it.

I'd pick Swan/Dolphin. As stated, there are no MK moderates, nor moderates that are walking distance to anything.

Swan/Dolphin would be a wonderful choice for you! You'll not only have walking access/boat access to Epcot and MGM, you'll have a much nicer bed, many restaurants between the two resorts plus the entire boardwalk, and the Grotto pool area with a great snack bar and drinks! There are many discounts offered for the Swan and Dolphin through their website, and www.dreamsunlimited.com which sponsors these boards.
