We need a hotel for our 1st night in Orlando before heading to Contemporary for our resort stay. I'm pretty sure I'll book Caribe Royale. I checked their Wednesday deal and it was for a 2 night stay and was wondering if most of their deals would exclude a 1 night stay and I should just go ahead and book it now. Anyone know if they have ever offered a Wednesday deal that a 1 night stay would be eligible? I suppose I could book it and then keep watching, was just curious if anyone knew offhand. Thanks!

We're staying there, for one night, in July. We booked it through AAA. When I went to the Caribe Royale website, just to see if we got a good deal, you could only book 2 nights. For the record, we got a rate of $206.99 for a 2BR suite (we're a family of 6). Also, we're going in high season, which may affect the ability to book a single night.

ah ok, you did get a good rate. I'm showing $129 for us to have the 2 room 2Q bd with pull out sofa.

FTR, Caribe Royale does look lovely, and we're looking forward to our night there. I can be cheap, so I had suggested to DH that we consider two rooms at a cheapy hotel (Super 8 or something). He said "No way!" I guess I shouldn't have shown him all the nice pictures on the website! The pool is bound to be a big hit with my crew.

Agreed on the pool! That is largely why I'm booking there too. We decided not to do water parks on the trip so I figured this would be nice for our first day in Orlando and take the sting out a little when they see all the WDW water parks from the road eek!

Have you tried the mousesavers rate? We will be staying at the Caribe next weekend for 2 nights before we check into POR, and I think the rates are pretty good.

Hi Im from the Uk and i was wondering if anybody knew wether Universal hotels give Uk Military discount at all as we are thinking of doing a two night stay for 2 adults this yr and maybe a wk for our family next yr depending on price as we always do Disney as well but now the boys are getting older we would like to do both sets of parks like I always did as a child :)

Nice to see good customer service. We are booked through a Southwestern Vacation package to stay at Caribe for a week in a one bedroom suite. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing now we had booked the 2 bedroom though...next time!

what has been the general consensus for those that have stayed there?? we are also looking at staying for one night before our disney vacation stay at the CR......the advanced purchase rate looks outstanding...

We stayed there for 2 nights before we checked into Port Orleans last month and we absolutely LOVED it!! We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was great. Lots of room for the kids to run around, a full kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a nice pool with waterslide. I can't say enough good things about it! I am actually waiting for the rates to come out for next May, as we plan to stay there again.

Wow, Caribe Royale is one that I've been considering and now I'm leaning that way even more. Great customer service!

we needed a place to stay one night prior to our Contemporary Resort reservations in August and chose Caribe- the advance pay rate was terrific and they don't charge for self park as some of the others do- will let you know how it turns out...

No parking rates? I need to check their resort fees...

We have never stayed here before and booked one night for september. The 2 queens and pullout for 110 mousesavers rate. We booked a nonsmoking room. My son has allergies doesn't need to be near smoking area. They assured me they noted this. However when I got the confirmation email, it states nonsmoking preference not guaranteed. Now im rethinking this. I don't wont to chance a smoking room ruining our vacation because of allergies. Did anyone else experience a problem with preference?:surfweb:

We are returning to the Caribe in December and have to say the customer service, at least with reservation assistance, has been exemplary. I'm noticing better offers/specials this year than in 09 as well. There are no resort/parking fees. The only thing that would make the Caribe perfect is if they offered free internet. I believe it's $10/day.
