Well just spent a week at the Caribe and we loved it!! Couple of little minuses but nothing major.

Pros-the room was very pretty and clean,I enjoyed having the living area also

pool was awesome and clean

Staff was very friendly and helped us with a problem with the refrigerator very quickly and easily

Very pretty surrounding-palm trees, landscaping, decorating etc.

Cons- Was not crazy about the breakfast but the rest of my family loved it so dont go by me

Didnt like that if you asked any questions at the concierge thsy tried to sell you tickets or time share tours. A firm no ended it but I hate that feeling LOL

I had gotten the summer splash special. 2 free breakfast buffets plus $40 a day food and beverage credit. 7 nights came out to 842.00.

I would definately stay here again. This was my first time offsite so I wasnt sure how I would feel.

I have seen the larger suites at Caribe Royale, and I thought it was more expensive than that to stay there! Sounds like you got a good deal. What kind of room did you have? Did it have a living room, or kitchenette?

Thanks for your review. We'll be staying there Oct. 13-20. You didn't mention the shuttle to the Parks. The deal we got includes free shuttle service. I read many posts bashing the off-site shuttle service and stating that a car is a must. Did you use the shuttle or drive to the Parks? We'll be staying in a 2-bed, 2-bath villa, about 1200 sq. ft. I think it will work very well for us and is far less expensive that on property.

We stayed in a regular suite, not a villa. It had a living room with open up couch and 32 inch flat screen with an armoire with the refrigerator in it and some drawers for clothes. The bedroom had 2 queen beds , a 42 inch flat screen and a large dresser. In between the 2 rooms was the closet, then the sink and bathroom on the opposite wall. Beds were comfy and linens were very nice.

We had plenty of room for us. There were 5 of us me,DH , and 3 kids 17,12, and 8.

We used the shuttle only 1 day. It was too stressful-not because of the caribe but because of Disney. The shuttles to MK were about every 2 hours or so(dont know what it will be in the fall though) and we left plenty of time for the 930 pm bus but the monorail broke down (happened 2X while we were there)and we had to run for the bus. We just made it but it was very stressful.

The shuttle itself was nice(Mears Coach bus) and the driver was great. They only share busses with the Buena Vista Suites right there in the same parking lot.

The hotel was literally 2 or 3 miles down the road the hotel is located on.Very easy to navigate.

I loved the hotel. I was nervous to stay off site but I dont regret it.

Thanks so much for the review. I've been looking at booking the Caribe for our stay the week before Thanksgiving. I had originally reserved the Poly onsite because of the discounts that were just announced, but now we have an extra 2 people joining us. So we've been looking at suite hotels to have some more room. I was looking at Mousesavers and it looks like we can get quite a good deal for the 2 bedroom suite. Good to know that it's a nice place :)

We are staing there April 2011 for our Disney portion of the trip. Don't know why anyone would complain about the shuttle if it has trips every 2 hours and only services the two hotels when most other shuttle service multiple hotels and takes forever to get the parks. Universal shuttles only go out twice a day so every 2 hrs sounds great to me! Also i joined their facebook page and they sent me a message saying to let them know when we will be staying and they will make our reservation a special one, I am really impressed and I am not even there yet! Also I thought the rate was very reasonable for a suite in a beautiful hotel.

Dont know if you thought I was complaining about the shuttles but I wasnt.:goodvibes I was annoyed that the monorails kept breaking down. LOL We had to run for the last bus of the night-otherwise we would have had to take a taxi. Hope you have a great vacation. Im jealous!! I want to go back to the Caribe!:lmao:

I would definately stay there again and I am usually only an on site kind of girl;)
