We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort from November 14 to the 24. Which is the best village to stay in? I hear Martinique is convenient, but somewhat noisy. I have been told that Aruba and Jamaica are the best. Who has any thoughts on this??

We've stayed at the CBR twice and loved it both times. The first time we were in Jamaica. Our room was upstairs and faced a lush courtyard. The walk from our building (41) to the Jamaica bus stop was about 3 minutes, to the main pool/food court/marina was about 5 minutes and to the Jamaica quiet pool and laundry was maybe a minute.

The second stay, we were in Martinique. I think the room was in building 23. Our walk to the bus stop was less than a minute, to Old Port Royale was 4 minutes and about a minute to the quiet pool and laundry.

In case you're wondering how I know how long the walks were, I timed it.

No matter where you stay at the CBR, the scenery and landscaping is beautiful.

We stayed in Martinique building 25 during our stay this past June. We didn't think it was noisy at all. The only time we heard anyone was if they were walking past our door, which wasnt very often. Hope that helps.

We just got back last weekend and stayed in Martinique bldg. 24, room 2409. Great room--straight shot to the bus stop and pool! About a 3-4 minute walk to the food court. Didn't have any problems with noise.

We love CBR!! We've stayed in Martinique 25 and Trinidad North 31 -- neither time did we have any problem with noise at all -- one of the great things about CBR is how quiet it is! You will love it!

Unless you pay for preferred location, your request is just that, a request. I think since Aruba and Jamaica are so near the main areas via the bridge they are specifically requested often and also given out to people who request "to be near the main pool and foodcourt". The one request I made was a first floor room since CBR buildings have no elevators. I normally don't like to stay on the first floor but it worked out very well at this resort and told them I didn't care which village, I just wanted a ground level room. I agree with the poster who said any location will have benefits and beauty. I loved our location in Barbados (Bldg. 16). It was extremely quiet, had a busstop right near there and it was close to the Custom House which was convenient when we checked in/out. To the main pool and food court it was maybe a 5-7 minute walk (a very lovely walk along the lake). We were right between the quiet pools in Barbados and Martinique. I loved that location and will request it again. But if I don't get it, no bother, the whole resort is so beautiful. Its really a vacation within a vacation when you stay at this resort. Have a great trip!
