Caribbean Beach vs. Art of Animation? or other?

I have a trip planned Feb 2023 with my teenage daughter, just the two of us, and first time staying on property. Our last visit we rode the skyliner and I thought it would be amazing to stay at a skyliner resort. Deluxe is out of our budget, so I made a reservation at CBR. The photos look wonderful, but I've read a lot of negatives about the resort.

For those that have stayed at both, would you recommend Art of Animation over CBR? Does it feel newer/nicer? I know the ride would be longer, and we would have to transfer at CBR.

We will have 5 park days, and would only use the skyliner two of those. So, I'm wondering if I'm putting too much value on the skyliner? Would we be better off at a different moderate?

If we opt for a resort that only has bus service, is one of them known for better bus service than others?

Thanks for any feedback!

The only non suite rooms at AOA are a long way from the skyliner station. I would prefer Pop and request a room near the station.

We've stayed at both. CBR was a year before the skyliner opened. Its really spread out, so would be hard using the skyliner due to the walk depending on your location, but you also have a long walk back to the Little Mermaid AoA rooms.

However, with a teen, I'd probably stay at CBR over AoA. Its cute for kids, but unless she's a LM fan, or if staying in a suite, a fan of those movies, probably not something you both would enjoy

Thanks for the tip, that is good to know!

Pop seems to have one queen bed plus one table bed. Do you know if the table bed is comfortable?

The pull down bed is also queen sized with a real mattress. I have slept on it at least 10 times (edited to clarify 10 trips of at least 5 nights) and it's just as comfortable as the regular bed.

I’ve stayed at both. They are both great resorts. SL is awesome. My DH and I recently stayed at POR and loved it. No SL but buses were reliable and fast. I like Pop also, and suspect most teens would like it too. Lots of good options!
