caribbean beach resort

hi, we have booked our holiday with virgin holidays, we have decided to change our booking to include a stay at the caribbean beach club, has anyone else stayed here with virgin, can you make building requests or do the only have the ones allocated to them, also is it worth paying extra for a water view, or is a standard room ok, we just dont want to be looking over a car park for our stay, any advice would be greatly appreciated as we have never stayed on site before, thanks susie2

I am guessing you mean the Caribbean Beach Resort and not the Beach Club, correct me if I am wrong.

We stayed at the CBR in 2000 and were able to fax a request for a particular building, not sure if that has changed now. We had a standard view overlooking some gardens but to be honest we were hardly ever in the room, if we were in the resort we sat on hammocks on the beach.

thanks kaylee, have changed the title, thanks for your reply, have looked on the site and it is really good, but really wanted to know if you could ask for room or building requests if booked through virgin holidays, or wether you just had to take there rooms, thanks again susie2

When we went in 2000 we booked through a Tour Op, but I faxed the resort direct

unfortunatly we stayed at the caribean beach in november 2004, it didnt feel like a disney hotel at all, I hope it works out better for you

we are going to the all stars this year as we think it feels more like disney

I hope our was just a one off bad experiance

Disney resorts aren't reading faxed room request anymore. The best bet is to call your tour operator and get the request added directly to your reservation.

Hi Susie,

we faxed CBR last summer about 3 days before we arrived. On arrival they had our fax and put us is in the area we had asked for.

We had a great time in CBR so much so we are back there in 52 days.

ask for your building when you check in we have stayed in the jaimaca buildings and found this was close to main pool ect

When we stayed there in 2000, we faxed the hotel with a room request and paid extra for a waterview room. The fax counted for nothing and the waterview supplement was a total waste of money in my opinion.

When we booked the water view, we weren't aware that the building walkway is between the rooms and the water, so we couldn't just hang out of the window and admire the view. The fact that it was a walkway also meant that we didn't like to keep our curtains open due to all the passing traffic.

I wish I had saved the money, as we felt we got no benefit at all from the so-called water view.
