Going for a first trip in my life!! NEVER been on any kind of vacation before. Not sure what to do, which Village do you prefer in CBR as we are staying week of April 21st. 2008 yippeeeeee!:cool1:

I stayed in Trindad and very much enjoyed it! The resort is beautiful. When I first started going to WDW, I would pick or request an area at the resorts, but hardly ever got my request. So, now I just go with the flow and get what I get. It's a fun surprise and it all works out to be fun! So, I would say, Hakuna Matata!

Enjoy!

Aruba 51 and Jamaica 45 are a short walk to the bridge to Old Port Royal.

Thank You!! I'm just so unsure of what I am doing.Hope all I do there is sleep anyway!

We've stayed at the CBR twice and absolutely loved everything about it. The first time we were in Jamaica and the second in Martinique. Both locations were good.

The resort is large and spread out but Old Port Royale (the food court/main pool/marina/store) are located in the middle. The promenade around the entire resort is just 1.4 miles so even if you are given a room in the furthest building, you are no more than half of the 1.4 miles from Old Port Royale.

I've stayed at CBR five times and each time it was in Martinique. We wanted to be close to the foodcourt (Port Royale) and near the main pool but on the other side of the food court.

IMHO I wouldn't say one villages accomodations are better then any other. It is more about the distance from the foodcourt that attracts people.

The villages across the lake, but close to the bridge over the lake could be good choices. I had friends who stayed there and it was less noisy, but they did not like walking over the bridge at night after visiting the foodcourt for quick snack.

Trinidad South again IMHO is very far from the foodcourt and main bus stop.

I found the busses to be fine. They changed directions on which village they went to first or last depending on time of day or the park we were returning from or going to.

Another reason I like Martinique is that we could get off at the Port Royale bus stop or the Martinique bus stop and still have short distance to walk.

I know that Martinque is a preferred location, I just don't know if the whole village is preferred.

If you have any questions, let me know.
And ENJOY! BTW I know you meant you hope all you do is sleep there meaning at the resort and not for the entire vacation, lol!

Many folks like Jamaica or Aruba. You might want to read the CBR FAQ thread listed below. The first post contains lots of information about the resort.

You're going to Disney to sleep all day?! :confused3 Are you sure you've made the right decision??
UMMM not trying to speak for her, but I think what she meant was that she hoped all that she did at the resort was sleep. Meaning she would be too busy to spend much time at the resort.:)

We love Jamaica. It's far enough from the main building and pool to be quiet but only a nice, relaxing walk over the island away.:wave2:

Definately Jamaica! We had a garden view in a building right near the bus stop...Great location!

We stayed in Jamaica for our honeymoon and loved it!! :thumbsup2 It was really close to the bus stop and not even a five minute walk to the gift shop and restaurants.

We stayed in Jamaica last month. It's a long walk for me b/c of my back and no fun in the rain to get to the food court but we were right next to parking and the bus stop for our section so it worked out.

I had requested Jamaica for our Xmas week trip last year, and while checking in I asked if ther were any preferred locations available, there were so we ended up in Martinique 26 which was awesome!
