Anybody have any ideas on how to get from the Caribbean Beach Resort to the Boardwalk without a car or a taxi, using Disney's transportation? I figured that I could just take the resort bus to epcot, then the water taxi to the boardwalk (based on one of Disney's maps) but seeing as how this is my first adult trip to WDW, I have no idea if my idea is right or wrong.

Suggestions?

OK, let me think about this...
As you said, you can take a bus to Epcot then walk/boat into World Showcase, exiting near England to head towards the Boardwalk. (whew!)
Or, you could take a bus to Hollywood Studios then boat or walk (a lovely 25 minute stroll) to the Boardwalk.
Or, you could take a cab (probably a $20 one way trip).
I'll keep thinking but that might be about it...:3dglasses

Here's another...if you start your journey from any of the theme parks or Downtown Disney, you could take a bus directly to the Boardwalk. Keep in mind, the Boardwalk, the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, the Swan and the Dolphin are all on the same lake, within walking distance/boat shuttle of each other.

Quickest route using Disney transp[ortation, bus from Caribbean Beach to the Studios, then boat to the Boardwalk.

If you take the bus to Epcot instead, you will have to physically enter Epcot (requiring valid park admission for that day) and walk from the bus stop through most of the park to exit out the International Gateway, where you can catch a boat to Boardwalk (or just continue along the walking path - by that point, it's not far). The studios option is far more practical and much quicker.

A better option than Epcot would be a bus to Animal Kingdom (during park operating hours, of course) or Downtown Disney, transferring at that destination to a bus back to the Boardwalk. Again, both will take much longer than just transferring via the (nearby) Strudios.

I would say bus from CB to DHS, then boat to Swan/Dolphin (the first stop), and walk over to BW. That would be the quickest route using WDW transpo. 8 minut boat ride, then 4 minute walk. No recent idea on the bus trip, but I recall it's about 10 minutes.

Walking from DHS to BW (proper) will take roughly 14-17 minutes. It's a nice walk.

Taxi from CB to BW I would estimate to cost $9-11 dollars. That's based on our past taxi ride(s) from BW to CB a few years back, which cost us $7.50 back then. It's not that far of a drive, really, but taking us all the way round CB to our island area was costly on the meter.

I would bus to DHS and then walk or boat to Boardwalk. I would not go to Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney, that would take you way out of your way.
