I was able to complete my online check-in and with a standard room booked at CBR I was surprised to see that Trinidad North was a village option.

Does anyone have any experience with these rooms? Am I better off selecting Aruba (which is our go-to village) or are the Trinidad North rooms closer?

Normally, the walk doesn't bother my family at all...but, I am recovering from surgery and am looking to minimize the walking wherever possible.

Just looking for any info on the availability/location of the standard rooms in Trinidad North as I was shocked that it was an option at all.

You will see all islands available as requests as they are not tied to what you booked. However there are no standard rooms in Trinidad north so your request will be wasted. I'd recommend requesting a different island. You can also call and put a more specific request in (i.e.: Jamaica 45)

Actually, we had Trinidad North when we asked for a Standard King bed room. We didn't request it, but they did give it to us...2013 and 2014.

I believe King (like water view) is a separate category that can be in any island except pirates even preferred....

When I spoke with the woman on the phone (we were making modifications) I asked her and she said there were some in trinidad north. But, I also know that the lovely CM I'm speaking with on the phone doesn't always know as much as the good people of the Dis :D

I agree, but we have had Jamaica and Martinique (non-preferred building) as well.

Calling now to put in our first floor building 45 or 51 request. Thanks for the input...anyone else with a standard room (non-king) in TN let me know :)

You all seem to know a lot!!! I am hoping you can help me. I have 4 accessible rooms reserved for October. I booked them before realizing the size of the resort. We have 6 kids, and 2 adults with disabilities in our group of 14...(one with learning disabilities, and my mom with dementia and limited mobility) She will be in a wheelchair most of the time. We need rooms close together so that we can help, she needs to be on the ground floor because she cannot do stairs. And we would really prefer close to transportation and the main building to avoid loading the wc onto buses more than we have to. Can you please advise on where the accessible rooms are located and what requests we should try to make...Also should we call CBR directly to make these requests or just do it through Disney? Thank you in advance for your advice!!

Accessible rooms are spread throughout the resort. Are all 4 of your rooms reserved as accessible rooms? That may make it hard to get them near each other. I suggest you call to have the reservations noted as "traveling with..." and include each of the reservation numbers. They'll do the best they can, but I would still expect different floors or even different buildings. CBR does not have elevators, so you will also need to have the mobility issues noted for ground floor. Each island has a bus stop making transportation fairly close; but you'll need to have a "preferred" room booked to be close to the main building Old Port Royale -- but if you were thinking of close to food, the food court is currently closed for renovations with grab-and-go options available at some of the islands. You can't really call the resort directly, but I believe this is the number for disability reservations and they may be able to help you with requests: (407) 939-1936. Be aware the more requests you make, the less chances of getting everything requested -- I highly recommend making it clear if you have priority requests (like ground floor) versus nice-to-have requests (like a specific island or building); also if it comes to having rooms close together or having ground floor, be clear which is most important to you.

Enjoy your vacation!

If we change 2 of the rooms to standard view (non-accessible) do you think it is more likely that we will all be together??

Connecting (with an interior door between) or adjoining (relatively near each other) is simply a request. But being accessible rooms, and there are a relatively limited number of them throughout the resort -- simply limits the likelihood of being close; I don't know if there even are accessible rooms as close as connecting. Accessible rooms may be limited how many on each floor or building simply for purposes of emergency evacuation. If you don't need accessible features for 4 rooms, I would definitely switch 2 to standard simply so as to free those rooms for guests who need the accommodations. But if you need them, I suggest going into it with expectation that you may not be close. Getting 4 rooms in a row is rather unlikely regardless of room type (I won't say impossible but not to be expected).

Thank you, I just switched 2 of the rooms, and I am not worried about 4 in a row, but my mom needs help and I don't want that all on my dad! So I would like us to be relatively close so that we can get over there in the mornings to help her get ready, or stay with her one evening while my dad goes to the pool with the grandkids/ etc!!
