 Whoops! my bad, you're right! ha ha! I keep going on to so many different threads trying to find out info, I'm getting my resorts mixed up! Sorry!

I am also wondering if there is a playground at Martinique. I am debating between Martinique and Jamaica, and I know there is a playground on the beach at Jamaica. Does anyone know if there is one on the beach near Martinique?

I don't remember seeing any playground equipment on the beach at Martinique. There also used to be some playground equip. on Parrot Cay but it was gone when I was there in Jan. and Feb.

Maybe someone with small kids will be able to help.

Say it ain't so! I missed the playground the last time we were there, and was hoping to let the kids play on it this time around. Hmmm. Maybe it will soon be back.

We just returned from the CBR. There was a playground at Jamaica on the beach, very close to the bridge to Parrot Cay and OPR. I did see another on the beach at Barbados and maybe even more between Barbados and Martinique.

We were in Aruba which I was disappointed with at first since I had requested Martinique, but I actually liked being on that side of the lake where it was a little quiter. If we were to return there while our DS is young, I would request Jamaica; the playground is right there, it is not a very far walk over to the main pool and OPR, and it is a little more quiet than Martinique.

KMC33 thank you for the update. We have stayed at different villages within CBR and liked them all. I didn't think it was a far walk from any of them. Glad to hear you had a nice time.

The playgrounds are marked on the resort map. There are three: one in Jamaica near the bridge, one in Trinidad South, and one between Martinique and Barbados. The one on Parrot Cay Island is gone.

Hi! This will be my first time staying at CBR and I had a couple of questions :) It seems like Martinique and Trinidad North are two of the best locations to stay at but I was just wondering if any one of those buildings would be considered quiet. Or is there a lot of traffic in the area... Would I better off requesting a room in Barbados or Aruba? We won't have a car with us so I want something that's not too far of a walk from the custom house or the food court. TIA! :p

I have stayed in Martinique and Trinidad North. I consider them both to be quiet. I sure wouldn't consider them noisy. If you want to enhance the tropical feeling get a room in a village across the lake so you can linger longer on the path to OPR. :)

Thanks Safetymom! Do you know if CBR has bell hops to help us with our bags?

We didn't have a car. When we were dropped off at the custom house, they tagged our bags. Then after checking in, we went to the bell services counter and they took us and our bags in a van to our room. When we were ready to check out, we just called on the telephone and they came to pick us up within 5 - 10 minutes-- and I think it was as busy check out time so this wasn't too bad.

From the standpoint of being close to Custom House and OPR, Aruba was a decent location. It was a little longer walk to OPR than Jamaica, but we were closer to the Custom House than Jamaica is too. Barbados would be even closer to the Custom House but maybe a little more of a walk to OPR. I must say we didn't mind the walk. The grounds are beautiful. We left CBR for the Wonder where we did a lot of walking on the ship to.

There is an internal bus that goes around the 'islands'. And depending on what you need from the Custom House and the time of day, they might bring it to you. We added a night to our package, so we had to check out and check back in after our first night. They offered to deliver the new keys to our room. The only problem was that we were leaving for the park earlier than they could put us down for the delivery. So, I just walked up to CH the next morning and it took me not quite 10 minutes from Aruba. And it was a beautiful walk on the Lake and then I cut through Barbados.

Thanks kmc33! It's really hard to judge how far away things are just by looking on a map. Sounds like everything is relatively close... Out of curiosity, what did you think of the bus service to the parks?

hi great thread

we're off to cbr in late june. are towels available at the poolside? they were at the csr last year and it was great. you just put them in a cart when you had finished around the pool.:smooth:

They are available at the main pool by OPR. Towels are not available at the quiet pools. You need to take them from your room and ring housekeeping for more towels.

Towels are available at the main pool at OPR but at the quiet pools you have to bring your own. Just call Mousekeeping when you get to your room and request some more. I also requested a hair dryer and we had the towels and the hair dryer in less then 10min! Great service at CBR! You won't be dissappointed!

I called yesterday to confirm or ressies. The CM told me the ressies are turned over to CBR two days out. So our ressies should be at CBR by Mon. My question is this, If I call CBR will they tell me my room assignment? I am wanting to know because my ressies are linked to my sister's, we are trying to get connected or very close rooms.

My other question is, I am doing the 7 night land/sea and I added a night to the hotel. I have requested to stay in the same room so I don't have to check out and in again. Has anyone had experience with this? Are they pretty good about not making you check in again?

4 more days:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

They will not tell you your room assignment. Even when you are checked in and your room is not ready. In that case they give you a number to call and they will tell you if it is done.

You should let WDW that you have a sister you want close to you. I have done this and they have been next door or down the hall. It all depends on how full the resort is.

If you mention you have continuing reservations they shouldn't make you check out and back in again. Be sure to mention it again when you check in.

I didn't know you had to request a hairdryer ... I guess this must be the case with all Disney hotels. Is there a chance that Mousekeeping could run out of them? I don't really want to bring my own (more room for souveniers :p)... but then again I don't really want to go without it either... What do you think?

I am sure they have plenty of hair dryers. I just prefer to use my own but when I requested an iron and ironing board I had it for my entire stay with no problems.
