Well I had some great designers make our shirts for the ASMo, unfortunately wdw had a malfunction and lost our ressies. Never did get it straight, so we just booked at the CBR instead. So is there anyway some one has a design for the CBR and would be willing to personalize it for the Miceli family 2008.
I really appreciate ya'lls help with this. I could let it get me down but why should I we are still staying at disney.

Don't let it get you down. CBR is a beautiful resort and my favorite!!! We are staying there in July. I have stayed there so many times I have lost count - probably somewhere between 10 and 15!! I have stayed at ASMo twice and had a nice stay both times, but I much prefer CBR. The grounds are just so much nicer. There are beautiful beaches with hammocks for relaxing. The island (I think it's called Caribbean Cay) that you have to walk over to get to the food court (if you are staying on the other side) is very nice. I hope you like CBR, but I know how it is if you have your heart set on a certain resort and you don't get to stay there. But I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thanks I'm sure we will love the resort. I had convienced my dh to go back and the only way he would go is the cheapest LOL. So needless to say he is a little ticked, but he'll get over it. We asked to stay close to the food court, our dd13 has autism and has crazy food and eating schedule. Do you have suggestions on building or rooms to request. Any info will be greatly appreciated

We have a little more than a love of Disney in common...............

I also have a 13 year old (and a 10 year old) with autism. DD (13) is higher functioning and DS (10) is non verbal and low functioning.

I will be out with my surgery for awhile but designing helps to keep my mind occupied.........

DH (God love him) is really babying me and I'm really BORED. I just so used to being very busy (I'm sure you know what I mean!)........

Miceli20 I went through this last year when we were moved from AKl because of the construction. I was so worried about staying at SSr. My ds is 9 and has autism so I understand worring if you picked the right resort for them. Well it turned out to be our best Disney vacation yet. Just ask for a prefered room so you are near the food court. If you can make sure you have a fridge with her favorite snacks. You will be fine. :thumbsup2

My dd is high functioning, she was born with a brain malfunction that cause the symptoms of autism. I hope all goes well with the surgery. I wish I knew how to design. I have let dd's check out the threads and put in requests for shirts, Gabby loves yours. It has been great this year having her help with the planning. I am such a queen when it comes to planning and they know it. No small detail left undone, even our door and window decorations. My prayers go out to you.

Sorry, I really don't have a recommendation for a specific building or room. I have only stayed in a preferred room once - this past December - it was in Trinidad. We always stay in Aruba. We stayed in a preferred room because we were traveling with my parents and my mom uses a rollator (I never know how to spell that) so it was less walking to the food court for her. Because of the construction of the new pool, I remember we had to cut through a parking lot to get to the food court. I would post your question over on the resort boards and I know for sure you will get a lot of replies and suggestions.

Also, someone posted above about a refrigerator for snacks. I don't know if you know this or not, but all rooms at CBR have a fridge so you will be all set with that.

One more thing - also over on the resort boards is a thread by safety mom that has all kinds of information on CBR. If you haven't seen it yet, I would definitely recommend it. She also has a lot of pictures of the resort.
